It is arranged over several floors with high quality fittings and polished oak floors throughout and makes the most of its stunning position. Dartmouth, renowned for its excellent restaurants, bars and eclectic range of shops is only a short ferry ride away. The River Dart is just a stone's throw away and an ideal spot for messing around on the river or you could take a trip on the steam trains of the Dart Valley Railway: visit the beautiful National Trust houses and beaches nearby; or perhaps just enjoy the superb views from the comfort of this charming cottage with its spacious sun deck, where the vistas are as lovely at night as they are during the day.

The main bathroom is very contemporary with natural limestone tiles throughout and a bath, basin wc and large, walk-in shower. The master bedroom is simply yet comfortably furnished and offers spectacular views across the River Dart to Dartmouth and the surrounding countryside. The second double bedroom is decorated in a pretty, traditional style and shares the same special views. The third bedroom has two adult sized bunk beds.

It should be noted that there is a pedestrian right of way across the top deck, which is occasionally used by our immediate neighbours and the postman!
The West Country / Devon region
The beautiful beaches of the South Hams including the award winning Blackpool Sands are only a short drive away. There are also several National Trust properties nearby including Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, Agatha Christie's former home and unspoilt National Trust beaches can be found within walking distance. Indeed, walkers are well catered for as there are numerous fabulous routes in the area including the South West Coast Path.
Kingswear in South Devon is a beautiful village on the banks of the River Dart, located opposite its better known sister, Dartmouth, towards the mouth of the Dart Estuary.
The Dartmouth / Kingswear area
Dartmouth, with its eclectic range of shops and award winning restaurants, is only a short ferry ride away, whilst Kingswear itself boasts three pubs.
A village shop and a Post Office.
The Dart Valley Railway terminus is located in Kingswear and steam trains run from Easter through to October from here to Paignton on the English Riviera.

We were very lucky to spend Christmas 2012 at Reservoir Cottage as a family. Myself, my husband, our eldest daughter & her partner and younger daughter, together with 3 terriers. The accommodation was fantastic and suited our needs perfectly. The owners were even kind enough to supply us with a real Xmas tree, decorated for no additional cost! The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to produce a very impressive Christmas Dinner. The house is beautiful with stunning views over the Dart estuary. We were even lucky enough to see a dolphin. The cottage is very warm and cosy although spread over 4 floors giving plenty of space. The bedrooms are all of a good size and very well decorated and comfortable. A big thank you to the owners! |

This wonderful house is situated in a quiet narrow lane in kingswear. From the moment you open the front door you are met with a light and airy double height hallway, from here you can access the kitchen, dining room, terrace and separate shower/toilet and handy utility room. The stunning views are seen from the dining room, living room and the two double rooms on the upper floors. The house benefits from an excellent heating system and a log burner for cozy evenings. There is also wifi connection throughout the house. The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard and everything was exceptionally clean. As for the surrounding area, this is our second visit to Kingswear and I'm sure not our last. |
