Recently asked a guest if he felt property matched up to advert & our info.
His response was: "Your advert could have made more of the incredible views from lounge and balcony and the superb location in terms of convenient, easy access to everything Dartmouth has to offer".
Well, we thought we had mentioned that in the advert but we'll let his comments emphasise those points!

The West Country region
There is a wealth of things see and do in the West Country as well as having some of the most breathtaking scenery in the United Kingdom, it has several award winning beaches to relax on. The climate during the summer is often balmy as the Gulf Stream warms the seas in the area, makes for excellent surfing and other water based pursuits. As far as attractions are concerned there is the Eden Project a vast eco-project with huge bio-domes to explore which offer many species from around the world as well as plenty for kids to do.
Dartmouth with its beautiful old-world centre is considered the capital of the South Hams, famous for peaceful rolling countryside, renowned coastline, excellent beaches (Blue Flag status) & coastal walks along footpaths leading to secluded beaches.
Dartmouth’s focal point is its bustling harbour and broad, wooded river. The town is designated a Conservation Area with 16th and 17th century timbered buildings, historic narrow streets, beautiful old shops, intimate pubs and excellent restaurants. Beach lovers will enjoy Sugary Cove near Dartmouth Castle as well as the beautiful Blackpool Sands and the long, unspoilt expanse of beach at Slapton Sands both of which are approximately 10 minutes drive.
Numerous attractions include the outdoor pool, pleasure cruises upriver to Totnes; Sailing or hiring motor boats for exploring the river or fishing; taking the Kingswear car ferry across to Torbay’s more bustling resorts of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay (10-15 minutes) or travelling on the restored steam train running between Kingswear and Paignton.
In August, Dartmouth hosts The Royal Regatta with funfair, sporting events, fireworks dispays and an array of boats. Some of the great beach destinations include Slapton, Torcross, Hope Cove, Beesands, Prawle, Salcombe, Bantham (surfing) Modbury and Thurlestone.
Recommended day trips include the estuary towns of Totnes and Kingsbridge, the riverfront village of Dittisham, a trip to scenic Dartmoor, a visit to the superb Plymouth Aquarium, a day at the truly superb Paignton Zoo or Woodlands Leisure Park.
For fishing enthusiasts there are plenty of opportunities to go out to sea and fish for flat fish, bream, pollock, bass and mackerel. Sharks and Conger Eel are also caught regularly. Fesh water fishermen have abundant opportunities for both coarse and game fishing in well stocked reservoirs or on river beats.

We have stayed at the property several times and I relax completely as soon as I look at the view from the balcony. The property is very comfortable with plenty of space for two people. Everywhere in the town is just minutes away and we still have not eaten at all the restaurants or finished exploring the local area in all the years we've been visiting Dartmouth.

"a lovely property with a stunning view"
My second spring break was as good as last year at this lovely comfortable property.
Set in the heart of Dartmouth, everything is within easy walking distance. The balcony is a superb sun trap and there is always loads going on on the river below.
Doombar and Otter beer in the pubs is superb and the food at the Floating Bridge is worth a visit. I have already booked Dartview for March 2015.

"A Great Place To Stay!"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dartview. The property was extremely comfortable and well-equipped and the location in the centre of the town was perfect. We particularly appreciated the ease of parking in the road outside and the parking voucher for the car park. The information pack was very informative, both for the property amenities and the very useful list of good places to eat in the town. Dartmouth itself is a beautiful town full of lots of interesting little shops and galleries, close to many great places to visit in the surrounding area. We would particulalry recommend a trip on the steam train to Greenways (Agatha Christie's house) and a visit to Paignton Zoo.

"This was a good choice"
Hadn't been to South Devon or Dartmouth before and were very glad to have chosen this beautiful area. Absolutely loved the town and the property. At the booking stage, we'd looked at loads of properties but selected DartView as we wanted outside space and views and we felt that Dartview offered better value compared to some of the other places we'd considered. And that DID turn out to be the case. It's a really nice property laid out over two floors in an upside down style with lounge / kitchen on the top floor and the bedrooms/bathroom below. We liked the comfortable, homely feel to the property. It was well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. Very helpful to have the Wifi and also useful having dishwasher and washing machine. One of the best things for us was, after a day of exploring, just to come 'home' and sit on the sofa or on the balcony and watch those river views. Whether at the dining table or just lounging on the sofa/armchair you can enjoy those views (actually from the kitchen & dining table there are also good views out onto an adjacent grassy hillside complete with grazing cows. It's a very convenient location there as we could just nip out to the shops or river embankment etc whenever we wanted (less than a minute from property). The parking permit was a real bonus too. For a rental property, we were surprised by the unusually good selection of books there –we even asked owner if we could take one home as we hadn't finished it...Thanks for a great time and hope to see you next summer!
