Bayards is a centrally located 2 bedroom apartment situated opposite the fantastic Alf Rescos cafe as well as being a minuets walk to Bayards Cove and the beautiful River Dart. The open plan living space combined with being in the middle of all the great shops restaurants and pubs make this a fantastic place to enjoy all that Dartmouth has to offer.

The West Country / Devon region
Devon is a popular holiday destination in South west England.The scenery and climate have made the area a favoured destination for the past 250 years. Over that time much has changed, yet much of the character and many of the local traditions have remained.
The coast and countryside are still extraordinarily beautiful, which is why more than two thirds of South Devon is carefully protected as a national asset, either in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or as part of the Dartmoor National Park.
The Dartmouth area
Dartmouth is characterised by its narrow lanes, stairways and corridors and plenty of medieval and Elizabethan features. It is a beautiful town steeped in history with many of the buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. The oldest building in Dartmouth is the Cherub Public House which dates back as far as 1380!
The Britannia Royal Naval College famous for training the Royal Navy's Officers sits majestically overlooking the town and down the River Dart towards Kingswear and the Dartmouth Castle and out to sea. The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway is on the Kingwear side of the river and trains run regularly offering a traditional and unique blast from the past.

By Road
From the M5 motorway you're in South Devon as soon as you cross the Exeter Estuary when the road then becomes the A38 dual carriageway. From here, you can follow the road through to Newton Abbot, Paignton, Totnes and finally Dartmouth or you can come off the A38 on the Buckafastleigh slip road where Totnes and Dartmouth are clearly signposted. Follow the Signes to Stoke Fleming once you reach Dartmouth.
By Air

Great location in the centre of Dartmouth. I was on a short trip with my business partner meeting clients for a few days sailing. A lovely 2 bed apartment, 30 seconds from the river and the lower ferry. Tea & coffee etc all provided, lots DVDs (very much to my wife's taste!), and the free wifi were all very much appreciated. Fantastic location, right in the town, and less than a minute from the river, but also quiet. Cafe al fresco across the road was our regular breakfast venue, and the fish & chip shop by the lower ferry was excellent too. Response: hello, thank you for you review on Bayards. The flat was well appointed and exactly as described in the brochure. On arrival we found it clean and well prepared. The booking process was simple and efficient. Dartmouth is a great location for those who enjoy walking. We had the bonus of wall to wall sunshine for the seven days we were there. There are some great places to eat out, and cafes to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by. On street parking was no problem, though this was in March. During the week we were there, there was some building work going on down stairs which started quite early, but did not really bother us as we are early risers. The internet access was fast and reliable. All in all a great holiday, and we will definately be back in the near future. Response: Thank you for your fantastic review of Bayards apartment.
