Hope Cottage is situated right in the heart of the ancient Devon town of Bovey Tracey and is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists and all those wishing to explore Dartmoor and the glorious beaches and countryside of South Devon. For those who enjoy city life the regional capital, Exeter, and historic Plymouth with its Hoe and dockyard are not far away.

The town of Bovey Tracey is known as "The Gateway to the Moor" and is home to the Dartmoor National Park Authority's headquarters. Bovey is a relaxed, small but thriving market town with modern convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and shops. It is also home to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, which exhibits and sells high quality local handicrafts.

There are any number of wonderful walks around the town itself or in the nearby countryside and moors. Visitors can visit Britain's highest waterfall at Canonteign or enjoy a stroll round Widecombe learning the legend of Old Tom Cobley and the famous Widecombe Fair.

Hope Cottage dates back to the mid nineteenth century. It has recently been modernised to a high standard and now offers accommodation of comfort and character. It will sleep five people in three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a good size, en-suite and enjoys panoramic views of Dartmoor. The second bedroom can be configured as a double or with two seperate single beds; the third bedroom has a single bed. There is a further bathroom with shower over, a modern kitchen and a living area with wood burning stove. The house has all modern appliances, full central heating, double glazing and is equipped with WiFi.

Outside is a pleasant, terraced garden offering spectacular views. A lockable storage area is provided, ideal for stowing bicycles and walking equipment. There is parking directly opposite the house for which a permit is provided.

"Great cottage in pleasant market town"

This nice house has been recently decorated and and is of a very high standard. Clean, tasteful comfortable and cosy and very well equipped. Location is brilliant for this nice little market town - 5 minutes walk to the pubs, shops etc. Ideal base for walkers, just a short drive from the moor and nice walks from the door as well. Accommodation on three floors with en suites make it ideal for a couple of couples or for families when the kids need some space between them and the parents! Nice outdoor space with elevated views across to the moors. Possibly not suitable for toddlers or people with mobility issues, but otherwise can't be faulted. Parking is easy. Friendly owners
