About the home

The villa is situated about a 20 minute drive from the village center and is designed to provide you with a comfortable home from home holiday. The villa is self-contained and has a swimming pool, gardens on different levels, a large balcony area, and BBQ. All the fittings used within the villas are of the highest quality and they are built to an exceptional standard.

Walking through the front door which is located on the second floor, you are taken to the living room which has a door that leads out onto the balcony with 180 views of the mountains and beach. Down below is the garden and swimming pool area.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need including high quality crockery, glassware, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is an oven, hob with extractor hood, large fridge, and microwave.

All towels and linen are provided. The maids prepare the villa prior to your arrival and come at the middle of each week to change the linen and towels and clean the villa.

Further details outdoors:
There is a lovely swimming pool, which is at the top of the garden. Around the pool there are plenty of sun beds.

It is a fantastic area to watch the sun go down over the mountains, as well as enjoy a cool drink at the end of a restful day.

If you would like to have a few bare essentials in the Villa(s) when you arrive - such as milk, sugar, coffee, tea, butter, bread, cheese, and some sweet biscuits, this can be arranged. Please let me know at the time of booking.

Guests are asked to provide their own beach/pool towels.

Conditions

A 30% non refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. The remaining payment is to be made upon arrival.

A breakage payment of 200 GBP is to made paid separately. This will be returned after the villa inspection.
Guests are advised to replace any damaged items themselves as it will work out cheaper than the agent replacing them.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Dalyan lies on the southwest Mediterranean coast of Turkey, in the Mugla province. It is 25km from Dalaman International Airport, 2 hours from Marmaris and around 2 hours from Fetihye.

Dalyan is a perfect holiday destination for every discerning traveller, young or old, offering history, culture, wildlife, stunning scenery, deserted beaches and coves & a base to explore the many attractions this region has to offer.

Since 1986, Dalyan and its delta has been a conservation area and wildlife sanctuary. Because of this, the small town on the South West coast of the Mediterranean has kept its Turkish charm and appeal. Many people return year after year, a few never leave.

The town sits by the side of the Dalyan river, fed by the local mountain streams that converge on the Koycegiz lake.

There are no high rise buildings in Dalyan, but simply villas, small family run hotels and local housing that blend into the beautiful landscape of mountains and cotton fields around it. The lush greenery and abundance of fig, banana, pomegranate and citrus fruit trees that grow everywhere are supplied by artesian water.

This truly is a beautiful place and was nominated by the Independent Newspaper in July 2003 as one of the best-unspoilt holiday destinations in the World.

The Dalyan / Gulpinar area

Though Dalyan's pace of life is relaxed, there is a surprising amount to occupy oneself. This charming unspoilt small town has much to offer all who visit - something for everyone, all in one place. Dalyan offers breathtaking natural beauty and the experience of unforgettable Turkish hospitality. It is a good base for other local attractions and the many famous historical sites in the area.

•The mud baths.
•Thermal springs located at the edge of Koycegiz Lake. The local Turkish baths will prepare your skin for the ultimate tan and should be visited within the first few days of your holiday.
•The beach can be visited, either by river taxi boat or local dolmus (bus service).
•The market held in the main square every Saturday is a great place for those bargains and local fresh produce. You will need your bartering head on for this!

Cultural things:
•The rock tombs are hard to miss and best viewed from one of the many restaurants lining the riverfront when they are lit up in the evening.
•Take a rowing boat or taxi boat across to the ancient city of Kuanos (3000 B.C.) and marvel at the amphitheatre and tombs. It is rare to visit the birthplace of a word. The main tomb carved into the cliff is that of King Mausolos from whom we get the word 'Mausoleum'. Just be silent and feel the history.

For the more active:
•White water rafting on Dalaman river (grade 4/5).
•Horse riding.
•Climbing.
•Canyoning in the nearby mountains.
•Diving and sea fishing are all available from Dalyan.
•The 12 Islands tour can be arranged individually or by chartering a traditional gullet (wooden sailing ship), with crew for the day. For very little money, you will be sharing the clear, blue waters with the World's wealthy. Go on, be a millionaire for the day!
•Boat trips are an integral part of Dalyan life on the calm volcanic waters of the river and lake.
•Try the moonlight boat trip in the lake where you will swim in the warm lake waters and then eat a delicious meal prepared and cooked for you onboard.
•Take a boat out onto the sea through the reed beds and discover the rugged coastline, and enjoy a barbecue lunch on one of the deserted beaches or coves. Remember to look for turtles, dolphins, flying fish and take your snorkel!
•Day trips or multi-stay trips can be arranged to the famous 'Rock City' of Cappodocia, the salt flats of Pamukkale or the biblical area of Ephesus.
