About the home

Dalyan is situated on Turkey's Turquoise coast and is only 20 minutes from Dalaman airport. Transport can be arranged to and from the airport on request. Dalyan is a small town with its own harbour. There are lots of family-type bars and friendly restaurants, many of them with stunning views of the famous Caunos rock tombs.

There are many things to do and see in the area surrounding Dalyan. Take a small boat over to the ancient city of Caunos with its amphitheater and watch the sunset; visit the mud baths and thermal springs reputed to cure all ills and go home looking 10 years younger! Excursions can be organised from the villas : boat trips, snorkeling, bird-watching, horse riding, overnight trips to the world famous archaeological site at Ephesus and the petrified water cascades at Pamukkale.

Our nearest beach is the famous 7km long Iztuzu Beach which is carefully protected as turtles bury their eggs in the sand. The beach can be reached by boat or small bus. A small café/bar serves drinks and snacks.

Please note the pool is open from May to October only.

Further details indoors:
Samimi sleeps up to 6 people, having 3 bedrooms altogether. There is a double and twin room on the first floor (both with ceiling fans and air conditioning) with a further attic bedroom (now also with air conditioning) which also contains 2 single beds. There are wardrobes/hanging areas in all bedrooms with numerous coathangers!

The kitchen has everything you need including Bosch washing machine, full sized gas cooker with electric oven, full sized iron board and steam iron, and large upright fridge freezer. The spacious lounge has two sets of windows, one facing the private patio area and the other to the pool area. It has a feature marble fireplace with corner settee.

Off the main living area there is a shower room/toilet and a further shower room/toilet on the first floor. Both shower rooms use a “pump” system, therefore good water pressure is guaranteed.

Further details outdoors:
Externally, there is a large patio to the front and side of the villa, containing open and shaded areas. The shaded area consists of a covered patio under which a wooden table and six chairs sit for al fresco dining. Sun loungers are also provided.

There is a stunning 50m pool and each villa has its own private "pod" area. Please note that the pool is open from May to October. We have found it is too cold for swimming outwith the main season. Reduced rates will be given for those using the villa outside these dates where the pool is not in use.

Dondu, our host, will also meet you at the villa whatever time, day or night, to greet you.

We also have an English/Turkish speaking host to assist with trips or questions you have about Dalyan or the surrounding area.

Conditions

A deposit of £150 is required at the time of booking. We also have an £150 breakages deposit which is also required and will be refunded once the villa is checked after your departure.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Dalyan is situated only 20 minutes from Dalaman Airport. Excursions can be organised from the villas : boat trips, snorkelling, bird-watching, horse riding, overnight trips to the world famous archaeological site at Ephesus and the petrified water cascades at Pamukkale. For those who are a little more adventurous why not try white water rafting or even a Microlite! Take a 12 island cruise on a Gulet from the stunning Gocek.

The Dalyan / Arikbasi area

Dalyan is a beautiful place in which to stay. It is excellent for walkers and bicycle hire is a great way to explore the area. There are family-type restaurants to relax and enjoy your evening and a few bars dotted around to pass the hours away. One of our favourite trips about a 30 minute driver to Yuvarlakcay in the mountains where you can have lunch and a quick dip in the cool mountain waters. A trip to the mud baths is a must, especially if you wish to return looking 10 years younger!

Hi Dot and Iain, we arrived back on Monday to a cold wet and miserable England from a heatwave in Dalyan !We are not thrilled to be back ! Thank you for the use of your fabulous villa. We had a terrific holiday. The lads enjoyed their week and we were busy with jeep safari, mud baths etc. The second week proved more peaceful and we are still trying out new restaurants. This is without a doubt one of the best holidays I have had. The accommodation is lovely, the views fantastic, and the people are very warm and welcoming. Our only regret is only booking one week. We’ve had a very relaxing holiday. Loved the villa and the surrounding scenery. On arrival at the villa, Dondu was here to welcome us and she called regularly to make sure everything was ok. She is extremely pleasant and helpful. All in all this has been one of our best holidays. We love Dalyan and although this is our first trip, it certainly won’t be our last. Great Value for Money!
Well kept, clean and comfortable villa. Well equipped kitchen, ideal for cooking the odd meal as local produce is excellent. Great views on both sides. Lovely swimming pool, but not ideal for small children as no shallow area. Walk into town a bit tiring in the heat, so we hired bicycles for 2 weeks which made it very easy day and night. Dalyan is an excellent location with gorgeous beaches (a pleasant bus or boat ride away) lots to see and do, very friendly people. All in all a great place and great value. Sandra Adams & Family.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 young daughters and had a fantastic holiday. The 3-bed villa is beautiful, very clean and spacious with air conditioning. The pool was just perfect and the gardens provided both sunbathing and shaded areas. The restaurants and bars in the centre of Dalyan were about a 15 minute stroll away which my girls loved as we would frequently encounter the turtles in the small stream en route. The people of Dalyan were extremely friendly and helpful and there was a good mix of sightseeing trips as well as chill out things to do. The kids loved the mud baths, my youngest especially! We had a very relaxing stay at the villa. There wasn’t anybody else sharing the other villas so we had the pool to ourselves. We hired a car to get around however they have bikes within the villa although we couldn’t find the key to unlock them! This wasn’t a problem as we borrowed the bikes from one of the other villas which were outside. The centre of Dalyan is within walking distance. The only thing that could have been better would have been a TV to watch in the evening but it by no means ruined what was a very peaceful break. Thanks Dot , Shane Heywood.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Villa Samimi, we had one of the best holidays we have ever had. The villa was like a home from home in every way. Brilliant. The pool was more than what we expected and we ended up spending most of our time in and around it. To top it all off Dalyan is the most relaxing and friendly place, we can't wait to come back.
