A short walk to the friendly riverside town of Dalyan with plenty of restaurants and close to Turtle Beach. Villa Manzara is divided into three individual cottages set in the beautiful garden which surrounds the pool. The villa is 10 minutes walk down quiet country lanes to the delightful riverside town of Dalyan where you will find many inviting restaurants and small bars on the riverbank overlooking the impressive Lycian rock tombs.
It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy this unspoilt corner of the justly famous Turquoise coast. Take a boat downriver to Turtle Beach or wallow in the hot mud on Koycegiz Lake. We can organise your own private boat for the day on the lake or out to sea where the captain will cook you all a wonderful Turkish BBQ - the perfect way to celebrate that big family event or special occasion.

Each cottage has one double and one twin bedroom with family bathroom plus an attic with two single bedrooms sharing a shower room. On the ground floor you have a walk in wet room and laundry area with washing macine. On the ground floor the kitchen/dining room opens out to the comfortable sitting room with open fire. French windows lead to your private terrace and barbecue, with direct access to the pool and garden. There is a separate pool for children and a small self-service bar for the grown-ups!
All bedrooms have air-conditioning and the sitting room has a ceiling fan, there are insect nets on the windows.

The cottage terraces all overlook the pool and bar which are set in mature gardens where there are quiet areas for peaceful relaxation with hammocks slung beneath the vines and fruit trees planted to give plenty of shade. There are sunbeds and recliner chairs as well as space on the terrace for al fresco dining on comfortable chairs and tables. A BBQ is available in the garden as well as extra tables and chairs for parties under the vines.
The garden is mainly lawn with gates front and back and plenty of parking space.

A welcome pack is provided on arrival and meals and other supplies can be pre-ordered. The 'honesty' bar will be stocked and filled up when necessary, you can pay on departure - you may choose to stock it with your own drinks as well.
Your host, Dondu Karaman will meet you when you arrive and pop in daily -she was brought up only 2 miles away, has excellent english and 12 years experience of helping guests at Manzara to enjoy their holiday with us.
Conditions
I need a deposit of £150 to confirm your booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival at the villas.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Dalyan lies on the river which is the border between Lycia and Caria so you have a huge choice of trips around the surrounding countryside and coast. 5000 year old ancient sites at Caunos, Tlos, Xanthos and Aphrodisias are within a day's drive while Ephesus and the famous 'Cotton Castles' at Pammukale can be visited on a 2 day trip organised from Dalyan. You can also fly to Istanbul in 40 minutes!
The best way to see the famous Turquoise coast is from the traditional Turkish sailing boat - the wooden 'gulet' and you can hire a private one for the day to enjoy cruising round Fethiye bay and swimming round the 12 Islands of Gocek harbour.
The Dalyan / Arikbasi area
Dalyan lies between Marmaris and Fethiye on the Mediterranean coast, 20 minutes from Dalaman airport. Unlike the 2 big resorts Dalyan is a quiet riverside town where you can relax and enjoy the traditional Turkish hospitality. It is an area of stunning natural beauty - rivers, lake and sea surrounded by mountains and pine forests, now protected from excess development as a conservation area. No large hotels can be built and building is prohibited near the beach in order to protect the endangered loggerhead turtle which nests here.
For the more energetic, the dramatic ruins of ancient Kaunos are just across the river and it is possible to plan a visit to other major sites including Ephesus and Xanthus.
You could book a mini-cruise by gulet around the coast, or we can arrange car and bicycle hire. There is a wide range of local activities such as white-water rafting, jeep safari, horse riding, boat trips, scuba diving, snorkelling and sailing.

"Dalyan is an amazing holiday destination if you are looking for a bit of night life and shopping but the tranquillity of a beach holiday. Manzara provides the basis for this as the villas are cool, comfortable and homely and the pool and bar are fantastically close by! "This is the third time we have stayed at Manzara Villas as a group and yet again we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Although the villas are not big there always seemed to be room for each of us to find our own space and we always ended up at the bar before wandering off into the town for a spot of Turkish Delight! Dondu and her team couldn't do enough for us and I improved my Turkish during long chats with Senay the cleaner. Looking forward to next year!"
