Light of Apollon, inspired by Apollon, the god of light, is part of a larger project in which each house is dedicated to a different virtue of this Greek God, with his wisdom and culture, the divine Lord of this region; Lykia/Anatolia. Each villa has a separate specific theme that is related and represented with a postmodernistic statue.
Light of Apollon, located in the Arikbasi region of Dalyan, is only 5 minutes drive away from the city center and 10 minutes drive from the Iztuzu beach. If privacy is your preferrence, the villa is an ideal get away location with its fishing pond, a natural lagoon connected to the Sulungur lake that is suitable for eel fishing, its real sea-sand beach that is for the exclusive use of the villa guests.
Nature is hand in hand with the modernism in the design concept of Light of Apollon. Sharp, minimalist lines of architecture contrasts only to make the surrounding natural beauties more visible. Panoramic mountain view is stunning, the surrounding farms are not populated by any other house and the giant sun bath deck as well as the hammock area around the fish pond will be your ideal locations for long stares at these mountains.
If you are a party bunch, the villa will offer you a large pool around which you can fire your barbecue and dine at the outdoor and indoor tables and chairs. The roof terrace is ideal for evening chill-outs with its full-size American bar, stereo system and its panoramic view jacuzzi in which you can enjoy your evening cocktails.
Children and the elderly are not omitted in the Light of Apollon. The first floor bedroom is designed for the ease of use of elderly and/or disabled guests with wheelchair access and special design bathroom. Between the swimming pool and the living room window, you will find a children pool with protection bars and anti-slippery surrounding surface. On the beach, right by the sunbath deck, there is a children playground. Highchairs are available on request of guests.
With the excitement in the project, the exclusivity of the surroundings and the unique experience it offers to guests, Light of Apollon is one of its kind in Dalyan.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region

The Turkish Riviera (also known popularly as the Turquoise Coast) is a term used to define an area of southwest Turkey encompassing Antalya, Mu?la and to a lesser extent the provinces of Ayd?n, southern ?zmir and western Mersin. The combination of a favorable climate, warm sea, more than a thousand kilometers of shoreline along the Aegean and Mediterranean waters, and abundant natural and archeological points of interest makes this stretch of Turkey’s coastline a popular national and international tourist destination.
Among the archeological points of interest are two of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; the ruins of the Mausoleum of Maussollos in Halicarnassus and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus.
The Riviera is also the home for the internationally-known Blue Voyage, which allows participants to enjoy a weeklong trip on Gulets to ancient cities, harbors, tombs, mausolea and intimate beaches in the numerous small coves, lush forests and streams that lace the Turquoise Coast.
The coastline is further regarded as a cultural trove that provides a fascinating mixture of factual and mythological individuals, conflicts and events, and has frequently been referred to in the folklore of various cultures throughout history. As such, it is regarded as the home of scholars, saints, warriors, kings, and heroes, as well as the site of numerous well-known myths. Mark Antony of the Roman Empire is said to have picked the Turkish Riviera as the most beautiful wedding gift for his beloved Cleopatra of Egypt. St. Nicholas, later known as Santa Claus, was born in Demre (ancient Myra), a small town close to present-day Antalya. Herodotus, accepted as the father of History, was born in Bodrum (ancient Halicarnassus) in ca. 484 BC. The volcanic mountains to the west of Antalya, near Dalyan, are believed to have been the inspiration for the mythical Chimera - the firebreathing monster that Bellerophon slew.

Dalyan is a town in Mu?la Province located between the well-known districts of Marmaris and Fethiye on the south-west coast of Turkey. The town is an independent municipality, within the administrative district of Ortaca.
Dalyan achieved international fame in 1987 when developers wanted to build a luxury hotel on the nearby ?ztuzu Beach, a breeding ground for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle species. The incident created major international storm when David Bellamy championed the cause of conservationists such as June Haimoff, Peter Günther, Nergis Yazgan, Lily Venizelos and Keith Corbett. The development project was temporarily stopped after Prince Philip called for a moratorium and in 1988 the beach and its hinterland were declared a protected area, viz. Köyce?iz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area.
Life in Dalyan revolves around the Dalyan Çay? River which flows past the town. The boats that ply up and down the river, navigating the maze of reeds, are the preferred means of transport to all the local sites.
