**Early Booking deals available on request** The villa is light, airy and well equipped with full air conditioning. It is one of a pair sharing a plot known locally as "the pretty villas". There is plenty of privacy in the shared garden. An English speaking contact is available nearby. Sun loungers and sun umbrellas are provided for relaxation in the well maintained garden. The new pool provides an opportunity for some gentle exercise or cooling off. The graduated steps in the pool offer an opportunity for non-swimmers to take a dip too. A fresh water shower is available by the pool.
Dalyan itself is a small town, unspoilt by the booming bars which have taken over some of the larger resorts. The town remains relatively undiscovered, thus retaining the friendliness and local colour sought by many. However, there is a large number of bars and restaurants to choose from in the village centre - sufficient to cater for everyone's taste. There are even restaurants that provide free transport to pretty locations a little out of town. 2007 also saw the opening of a pizza delivery service - fresh, good ingredients and cheap! 2009 brought a much praised curry house, but Turkish delicacies still win the day!
Although a short scenic boat or bus trip to the beach, there is a choice of two stunning areas linked by a stretch of golden sand and both parts remain unspoilt due to the fact that they are preserved turtle breeding grounds.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

There are plenty of opportunities to take excursions to see village life, the markets at Fethiye, Mugla,Ortaca or Koycegiz, Saklikent Gorge or the "Cotton Castle" at Pammukale to name just a few. There are opportunities to travel to sites of cultural and historical interest as well as to view stunning scenery. The climate is pleasant from April through to November with much hotter weather in June, July and August. A pleasant breeze often blows off the mountains and is a positive feature at the beach and when relaxing around the villa.

Dalyan / Gulpinar area

Dalyan is situated on the edge of a beautiful lake that is linked by a picturesque river to a stunning beach.Opportunities are plentiful to grab a river taxi through the reeds (setting of the memorable "African Queen"), to travel across the lake for a trip to the world famous mud baths and thermal springs or join an early morning boat for a spot of turtle watching.
Buses are plentiful, cheap and reliable in Turkey. They are the major form of public transport, used by many to travel around the country. Local travel is by Dolmus (like mini-buses) that stop on demand wherever needed along their routes. These are available from the small bus depot by the town square. Long journeys are on air-conditioned coaches available from larger bus stations such as Ortaca (nearby town).
There are also regular buses to to Iztuzu Beach (the other end of Turtle Beach) which entails a glorious ride through stunning countryside affording magnificent views down the mountain overlooking the sea.
Dalyan offers many opportunities for keen walkers, cyclists, swimmers, site-seers, night-birds and sun worshippers alike. Diving and horse-riding are also available locally.

Fly to Dalaman - Villa Rossford is just a 20 minute drive from the airport.
Transfers are INCLUDED in the rental price.
Budget flights are available from many companies. This year I have found that www.airflights.co.uk are offering a variety of different airlines at competitive prices.

Downstairs features a modern open-plan lounge area with two full length sofa beds. A dvd player is provided so guests can watch films or play cds.Opening off the lounge area is a well equipped kitchen - with full sized fridge/freezer, washing machine, small hob, toaster, grill, combination oven/microwave, cooking utensils and plenty of crockery. Downstairs WC. A further room has a "day bed" for relaxation in the shade or use as another bedroom.
Upstairs there is a double room with en-suite shower room. The twin room is just a step across the landing from the second shower room. There is plenty of storage and a small balcony offers an opportunity for relaxation or for drying wet clothes. British electrical appliances work fine in Turkey and there are plenty of plug adaptors in the property. There are plenty of very cheap internet cafes just a short stroll away if you need to keep in touch with home.

Further details outdoors:
The large terrace at the front of the villa is ideal for relaxation and outside dining. A bar-b-que is provided for your use. Sun loungers and sun umbrellas are provided for your exclusive use in the well maintained garden. The pool provides an opportunity for some gentle exercise or cooling off. The graduated steps in the pool offer an opportunity for non-swimmers to take a dip too. A fresh water shower is available by the pool. The partner villa is only used by the owners so privacy is easly maintained.

The pool and garden is shared with one other villa. This villa is only occupied by the quiet owners and their friends on a few occasions throughout the year. The area to the front and side of the property is for the Villa Rossford occupants' exclusive use. The arrangement of the villas on the plot affords each with plenty of privacy. The pool can be available from April through to November.
The property is surrounded by mountain views and is situated on a quiet paved road that is only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. A bicycle is available at the villa for popping down to the nearest shop and more are available for rent locally.
The season in Dalyan is gradually extending and several good restaurants are now open all year round - some even do Christmas Dinner!

Conditions

A 25% of the full rental charge is payable in advance as a deposit. The balance is payable in pounds sterling on arrival. Cancellation will result in a lost deposit.
