The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The 'turquoise' coastline along the South West coast of Turkey is simply beautiful - where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean Sea it is green and mountainous. Hire a sailing gullet and take a trip along the numerous coves between Fethiye and Marmaris - a memory never forgotten.

Dalyan

A truly relaxing place to holiday. The locals are very welcoming and try very hard to please guests in their homeland. Stunning scenery and climate, also this is a nationally protected area, so no high rise developments can be built. Very little noise, or crime, but lots of good, friendly bars, restaurants and shops. Lots of activities available including water sports, cycling and walking in the mountains/forests. All sorts of wild life to be seen. Near to the famous Iztuzu beach (voted No 1 beach in Turkey 2013 by TripAdvisor) - just a gentle boat trip away. Try the mud baths on the Lakeshore - and swim in the lake, before lunch on the boat. Visit the ruins at Caunos - just over the river where the old amphi-theatre used to hold 5000 people - still in good shape today. The Rock Tombs over 2500 years old still dominate the town of Dalyan from across the river - illuminateed at night, they form a beautiful backdrop to the riverside restaurants.
