This is a large period house in a beautiful location, two minutes walk from the centre of the pretty seaside town of Dalkey, the heritage village steeped in history, with beautiful architecture and lots of amenities.

Dalkey heritage town lies on the south shore of Dublin Bay and offers an excellent base from which to explore all that Dublin has to offer.

There are fabulous walks in the area along the coast, to Coliemore Harbour and Killiney Bay, also up on Killiney and Dalkey Hills (5 minutes from house) offering fantastic views of across the City and across Dublin Bay. There are guided walks available. An experienced guide can take you on a stroll back in time with a guided literary or historical walk leaving from Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre.

Boat trips are available to Dalkey Island.

The sea is 10 minutes walk away and Kiliney beach is one mile away.

There are many fine restaurants and shops, within walking distance of the house. There are plenty of pubs including Finnegans –where Bono took the Obamas for a pint of Guinness, on their 2013 visit to Dublin .

Excellent bus and rail via Dart provide easy access to the centre of Dublin (8 miles).

The house:

Downstairs:

There are two large rooms off the front entrance ; a living room and dining room .

The living room /family room has two sofas, a coffee table and original open fireplace making it a comfortable area to relax in.

Across the hallway is the dining room with a large dining table, chairs and side board.

There some steps leading down to the kitchen. The kitchen has a dining area and seats and is fitted with a traditional Aga. The Aga is fully functional for cooking and heating.

Guest WC.

A hallway leads from the Kitchen to the conservatory. The conservatory, which overlooks the back garden is also furnished and is a comfortable place from which to enjoy the views of the garden.

Garden:

The garden is mature with a wealth of foliage and flowers. It has a patio area with a table and chairs for outside dining in the sun. There is also a small BBQ, a hammock and sun loungers.

Upstairs:

Upstairs there are four bedrooms – all are very spacious double rooms and all have double beds.

The master on the 2nd floor is en-suite with a shower. This room has a double bed, wardrobe and writing desk with chair.

The two bedrooms on the 3rd floor are off the bright main landing. These are both large double rooms with double beds.

At the back of the house there is bedroom, which is accessed from its own stairs off the conservatory. This is a double bedroom with a double bed.

There is a fully tiled family bathroom with bath and a shower on the 4th floor completing the upstairs accommodation.

All bedrooms have wardrobes, desks and other storage furniture.

There is also a cot and baby high chair/seat.

A futon can be pulled out to make another sleeping space, if needed.

The house has GFCH. The AGA stove heats the water. There is also an immersion to heat up more water, if needed.

"Magical experience!"
