The Old Cowshed is a stunning barn conversion that we have lovingly renovated. It's position on the Dale peninsula makes it ideal for visiting many of Pembrokeshire's best beaches such as Marloes, West Dale, Little Haven, Broad Haven, Druidstone and Newgale. We are also just three miles away from St Martins Haven from where you can catch a ferry to Skomer Island - a world reknowned bird sanctuary with one of the most significant populations of puffins in the UK. We are also blessed with a micro climate in that Dale is reputed to have more hours of sunshine than any other village in Wales! Dale provides ample opportunities for dinghy sailing, surfing and kayaking.

The nearest village is St Ishmaels with Dale and Little Haven just three miles away in either direction.

The Old Cowshed is well off the beaten path set down a private drive just behind an old Manor House. It is very spacious with a central living area open to oak A frame beams and beautifully furnished. We have made every effort to ensure our visitors are cosy and comfortable. Heating is all underfloor supplemented by a ferocious wood burning stove with an ample supply of free logs. We provide linen, towels, hair dryers, radio alarm, 2 x TV's 1x 42" and 1 x 32", DVD player, music centre and broadband.

It consists of a large family/breakfast kitchen with a sitting area with TV, glazed doors open to a private enclosed rear garden with patio and garden furniture. There is also a large boot room with wet room area ideal for washing off muddy dogs or simply discarding boots and walking shoes after walking the coastal path. The lounge is furnished with white leather settees and has a 42" screen TV.

There is a twin bedroon with an ensuite bathroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a beautiful master suite with king size bed, and ensuite bathroom. Also upstairs, there is a further twin room with ensuite shower room.

The gallery provides an additional seating area with further sofas, and is bright and sunny - a place to soak up the warmth.

A travel cot is provided along with a high chair for families with very young children.

To the front of the property, there is another patio with garden furniture to take advantage of the evening sun.

It is a property for all seasons being warm and cosy in Winter and bright and sunny in Summer. The gallery is south/west facing with roof lights allowing light and warmth to flood in. An ideal spot to relax and curl up with a good book.

The property is suitable for disabled persons and the elderly. The ensuite bedroom on the ground floor is level with the lounge and the kitchen. There are three steps down to Boot Room but no need to use this room save for storage and dog washing facilities! There is one step up from the driveway to the lounge door and one step down from the kitchen door to the rear patio.

The Pembrokeshire region

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park was recently voted the second best coastal destination in the world by National Geographic.

It has the most stunning beaches, many of them blue flag and offshore islands to visit including Skomer, Skokholm, Caldey and Ramsey

Water sports are in abundance- wind surfing, kayaking, coasteering, sailing. Close by is Dale where there are training courses in all coastal sports for adults and children

It is a true coastal gem with over 180 miles of coastal cliff path.

Whatever the time of year, Pembrokeshire has something to offer. In Spring and Summer the lanes and paths are ablaze with wild flowers. Paddle in the sea, try your hand at windsurfing, go crabbing in the rock pools. In mid Winter, walk the beaches in solitude with just the crashing of the waves and the calls of the sea birds for company. Return to The Old Cowshed to a roaring log fire and a hot bath.

Pembrokeshire also boasts the wonderful Presceli Mountains from where the stones for Stonehenge are belived to have been hewn and the tranquil very beautiful Gwuan Valley, an ancient valley home to streams, fauna and woodland.

It is home to the most stunning beaches. Close by is Marloes Sands where Snowwhite and the Huntsman was recently filmed. Also near is West Dale, St Brides, Little Haven, Broadhaven, Druidstone and Newgale

Skomer Island home to a vast puffin and manx shearwater population is also close by with the embarkation point only ten minutes drive away at Martins Haven

Little Haven with its bustling pubs and restaurants (in Summer!) is equally close as is Dale a centre for watersports including windsurfing and Kayaking.

A visit to St Davids - the smallest (and prettiest!) city in the UK is a must with its magnificent Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

Pembrokeshire offers something whatever the season.

"Lovely conversion set in perfect location for visiting area"

We stayed here 2nd week in July with our 4year old son. It was a perfect setting for us for break away. Accommodation is truly 1st class with 2 ensuite twins and a master with ensuite with views over the nearby fields, peaceful and bliss. It is also in a good position for exploring Pembrokeshire. We visited Tenby, Pembroke Castle and for my son Folly Farm and Oakwood theme park all within a reasonable drive away. Marloes beach nearby is a must and spent a lovely day there. Would most certainly recommend this accommodation.
