The Dumfries and Galloway region

Dumfries & Galloway is a beautiful and unspoilt area located in South West Scotland. When heading north (or south) on the M6/M74 turn West and follow the A75 through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Each bend you drive round you will find a different view. Roads are uncrowded, and like the Highlands some are unfenced. Quaint little villages, each with its own character and history. Forests, hills and beaches are all within such easy reach.

Dalbeattie

The Colvend Coast is often referred to as the 'Scottish Riviera' .It has a very pleasant micro climate influenced by the Gulf stream. Kippford is a popular and picturesque sailing village (one of the most photographed in Scotland) . It lies in an area designated for its natural scenic beauty, with rugged hills, forests and beaches. A variety of forest and coastal walks (including the Jubilee Path), beaches (sandy & rocky), fresh air and plenty wildlife & nature on the doorstep (including the delightful red squirrels).

"What a wonderful place to find."

The caravan was fantastic and so clean... would love to take the shower home! We enjoyed the many walks along the coast, through the forests and oh! the smell of bluebells in the woodlands was wonderful. Such a beautiful area ,,. just the tonic for a nice relaxing break. Can't wait to return next time with the mountain bikes to do the 7stanes trails. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We loved the area - beautiful scenery and the red squirrels were amazing! Can't wait to return next Easter or maybe this summer holidays. Thank you! Nat, John and the kids!
