The Cabin has a wealth of character and charm and provides guests with a true log cabin experience. It is situated in a peaceful woodland setting surrounded by Heather & Blaeberry plants. It has extensive, secluded grounds and is approximately 200 yards from loch shore. It has a Visit Scotland 3 star rating and is spacious and well equipped.
The accommodation consists of open plan Lounge, dining area & kitchen, double bedroom, triple bunk room, loft room and family shower room.
The lounge / dining area, which has a high vaulted ceiling, has satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV & DVD), sofa bed, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. Front elevation is mainly glazed, to maximise views, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area.
Wifi broadband is available at an extra £20 per week or £10 per short break (4 nights max).
The kitchen area is well equipped, with cooker, fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery & cutlery.
Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point.
Bedroom 1 is a ground floor room with a double bed, wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side table.
Bedroom 2 has a triple bunk bed, wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. The bunk consists of a double bed base with a single top bunk. The top bunk is suitable for children (under 16) only.
Bedroom 3 is a loft room accessed via ladder, with 2 single beds, additional folding bed, clothes hanging area, chest of drawers and bed side cabinets.
Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, including picnic table and a BBQ / camp fire area. The woodland surrounding the cabin is a wonderful natural habitat for an abundance of wildlife, including Red Squirrel and Pine Marten which are frequent visitors.
The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm & feel of a true log cabin in a quiet forest location.
