This is a fantastic value for money apartment. Weekly rental prices start from only £185 - £250 per week (for the apartment, not per person).
The Botantic Gardens complex is located in an unspoilt, peaceful part of the beautiful Dalaman countryside. This part of Turkey is a nice contrast of fruit orchards and agricultural fields, blue skies, gorgeous bays with crystal clear waters, all set against a stunning mountainous backdrop. This lovely location offers many opportunities for days out exploring this interesting region. You can enjoy days out sightseeing or taking part in a variety of activities, combined with laid back, relaxing days sunbathing and having family fund by the fabulous swimming pool and splash pool.
This apartment complex is conveniently located just 3 kms from central Dalaman and only 8 kms from Dalaman airport which means that you can be at the apartment within 15-20 minutes of leaving the airport (by airport transfer or hire car), unpack your cases, and be chilling out by the pool and enjoying your holiday straightaway.
Jasmine 16 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment which sleeps up to 5 people (including 1 child, aged 14 years or under) who can sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge. This apartment is situated in a lovely, quiet corner plot position at Botanic Gardens and is just a few steps away from the large, free-form swimming pool and children's splash pool as well as the other communal facilities such as the poolside bar/ restaurant.
Being a ground floor apartment makes it easily accessible for all ages... especially for families with pushchairs or young children (so there's no struggling up lots of flights of stairs with a buggy or lots of shopping, beach bags or luggage). It is also is very handy for anyone with slightly restricted mobility as there are only 3 steps to this apartment, then the living accommodation is all on one level. This also makes it really practical for families with children as the bedrooms are on the same floor (not split over 2 floors like the duplex properties).
Jasmine 16 apartment features a double and twin bedroom so is suitable for friends or family travelling together. It is ideal for 1 or 2 couples, or can be used for a family of up to 5 (when children use the sofa bed in the lounge). Please note that the sofa bed is for use by children only aged 14 years or under. There is also a cot and highchair available FREE OF CHARGE if travelling with a baby/ young child. Please ask for at time of enquiry.
There are 2 modern bathrooms for this apartment, one of which is en-suite to bedroom 1 with a wc, basin and shower. The 2nd family bathroom has a wc, basin and bath with a shower over it.
The lounge patio doors open out onto a large patio which is furnished with a table and 4 chairs so is a perfect place for al-fresco meals or drinks. There are a couple of sun loungers for sole use of this apartment and also some additional communal sunbeds around the pool. The owners have provided 4 beach towels for use so you don't have to pack these.
For your entertainment, the comfortable lounge features a basic satellite TV (featuring some Turkish, English and European channels). The owners have provided some DVDs for the DVD player, and we also suggest that you bring your favourite films/ kids programmes to watch during your holiday.
The kitchen has everything you should need for a self catering holiday and includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas hob, large fridge freezer, kettle, toaster as well as all the essential cutlery, crockery, pots and pans which you may need during your stay. Other equipment includes an iron, ironing board, washing machine, clothes airer, mop, bucket, vacuum, dustpan and brush, hairdryer and also a safe. There are air-conditioning units in the lounge and bedrooms.
Please note that this is a NO SMOKING apartment however the owners will allow smoking on the patio.
Botanic Gardens is a well maintained, peaceful complex and is set in lovely landscaped communal gardens with tropical palm trees, bouganvillea and is surrounded by citrus orchards. On-site facilities include:
- large free-form swimming pool
- shallow children's splash pool
- small children's playground
- bar/ restaurant area
- table tennis and snooker table (equipment can be hired from the bar)
- tennis courts (with own equipment)
- free communal wi-fi internet access provided by complex management with your own laptop/ smartphone
You can have family fun in swimming pool, enjoy al-fresco dining on your spacious patio with a glass of Turkish wine or cold Efes beer or make friends at the nearby poolside bar and restaurant. The complex has a very nice, relaxed friendly environment to socialise and get to know other people whilst on holiday.
During the summer season (usually early May - late October each year), the complex runs a shuttle bus service from Botantic Gardens to various places of interest in the local area such as Dalaman market, Fethiye market, Dalyan, Gocek, Sarigerme beach. These day trips are very reasonably priced and are a great way to see the local area and to pick up some shopping.
Please note that all communal facilities are seasonal so are usually available between May - October each year. All communal facilities are provided by the Botanic Gardens management and may change at any time (subject to their discretion).
We are happy to help out with arrangements for car hire, airport transfers, welcome grocery packs and cot hire. Please ask if any of these services are of interest to you at time of booking.
For peace of mind during your stay, there is 24 hour security on site. Emergency contact numbers and emergency mobile phone are supplied so you can contact the local management or owners if necessary for assistance whilst on holiday.
We also provide a guest manual at the apartment with ideas about where to eat, where to shop and what there is to do in the local area.
Please note that the CHANGEOVER day is FLEXIBLE to accommodate the different flying days from the UK and other countries. We have a standard check-in time of 4pm and check-out of 10 am in case of same day arrival and departure. When possible, we will try to be flexible around your flight times (subject to other bookings). Please advise of flight times at the time of booking.
I rent another 2 bedroom apartment on this complex in the nearby Melissa block. Therefore if you are 2 families travelling together but want separate accommodation but still be near each other, please ask for details, prices and availability. Alternatively is this apartment is already booked for your holiday dates, please ask as the other may be available.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
This is a wonderful part of Turkey with dramatic mountain scenery, stunning coastline, sparkling clear waters and spectacular sunsets (see our photo gallery for pictures of the area). You'll be spoilt for choice for things to do in this area. You can combine a relaxing beach/ pool based holiday with energetic sporting activities from watersports to paragliding, go off exploring ancient ruins and rock tombs or take one of many excursions on offer such as a boat trip or a jeep safari.
Experience the Turkish culture in the bazaar or local market, enjoy the local hospitality and tasty cuisine.. which is second to none! You'll find that the Turkish people are extremely friendly and welcoming, plus the cost of living is still cheaper than the UK and other EU countries (as Turkey is not in the euro zone and still has its own currency ... the Turkish Lira).. which makes your holiday spending money go further!
The climate is wonderful (with approximately 300 sunshine days per year) and temperatures are 30c+ degrees throughout the summer months. May, June and September are lovely months for families with younger children or for guests wanting to take part in energetic activities when it is slightly cooler with temperatures usually between the mid-high 20 degrees.
This is the perfect place for a chilled out sunshine escape by the pool & beach holiday, ideal for families, couples or small groups of friends. The Botanic Gardens complex also makes fantastic base for guests wanting to experience the 'Real Turkey' and explore the lovely, unspoilt Dalaman area which has so much to offer more adventurous holidaymakers.
To make the most of your holiday and see a lot of the local area, car hire is recommended however it is not essential if you want are just want a relaxing holiday in the sun as there is a bar and restaurant and a complex shuttle bus service into Dalaman, Gocek, Daylan, Sarigerme Beach and Fethiye market on certain days of the week and on selected evenings to Dalyan and Gocek (for a reasonable fare, booked on a first come, first served basis). This is great for sightseeing and picking up some shopping. Plus you can arrange excursions and day trips with local travel and tour companies.
The nearest town is Dalaman, a traditional Turkish town is just a few kms away. Here there is a selection of shops, supermarkets, banks, cafes, bars, restaurants and a children's park. You can watch the locals going about their everyday lives. The weekly Thursday market is a great place to get your fresh fruit and vegetables as well as bartering for holiday gifts and souvenirs. The complex has its own shuttle bus service with a low cost service to Dalaman so you can pick up fresh, local produce at the market. Many of the local restaurants will offer a bus/ taxi service to the complex if you make a reservation. Here are a few suggestions:
* Akkaya Gardens
* Dalyan Life
During your stay, visit Sarigerme Beach which is a beautiful sandy beach. It is a fabulous spot for a relaxing day out with sunbeds, parasols and a café for food and drink plus a play park. There are other pretty beaches and secluded bays in the Dalaman area such as Asi Beach, Sarsala Beach and Ekincik Beach.
You can pamper and spoil yourselves with a day pass to the Therme Maris Spa at Dalaman beach. Here you can use some of their pampering facilities and indulge in some luxurious treatments.
A day trip to Dalyan & Caunos is great as you can combine history, beach and fun at the mud baths in one day out. History lovers will enjoy exploring the ancient remains of Caunos, then visit the mud baths to apply the rejuvenating sulphurous mud to your skin. Don't forgot to take a boat trip down the river to Iztuzu beach, which is home to the Loggerhead turtles and is one of the best beaches in the area. It is also worth spending some time in Dalyan as it has a lovely town square, large playground and bazaar where there are lots of restaurants and shops to browse around.
Another nice place to visit is nearby Gocek. This is a popular yachting town where you can admire the fabulous boats and take a daily boat trip from here and sail around the beautiful 12 Islands. The waterfront is lined with a wide selection of restaurants offering lots of different dining out options.
If hiring a car, it takes less than 1 hour to drive to the popular town Fethiye which has a very large market every Tuesday, and you can also visit the stunning blue lagoon at Olu Deniz and explore the ancient ghost town historical remains at Kaya Koy. Futher afield you can venture to Kalkan, Kas and the historical site of Tlos by car.
Lots of different excursions can be taken in this beautiful area of Turkey such as a visit a traditional Turkish bath, a trip to the holiday town of Marmaris, or discover the ancient city of Ephesus and the natural wonders of Pamukkale.
If its adventure based activities that you're after, then you won't be disappointed. You can paraglide from the top of Mount Babadag at Olu Deniz, go white water rafting on the Dalaman river, go sailing or windsurfing on Köycegiz lake, explore the local area by jeep safari, have fun with the watersports at the local beaches or go diving, horse riding or quad biking ... the list is endless! Please note some activities may require additional insurance. Please check your holiday insurance policy or ask at the tour/ travel company before participating to make sure you are fully covered.
The Dalaman region is perfect for walkers and nature lovers. Saklikent Gorge is 18 km long and visitors can walk up the gorge through icy cold waters and on the wooden walkways. The Golgeli and Sandras Mountains, the Agla Plateau and Yuvarlak Brook are popular areas for trekking. Lake Köycegiz is also very well-known among bird-watchers with over 100 species of birds, while the Caretta Caretta (loggerhead) turtles make their home at Dalyan.
Another beautiful area to explore, especially if you have a car is the stunning, pine cladded mountains and rivers of the unspoilt Akkaya Valley. Enjoy a meal at the pretty Akkaya Gardens restaurant and take a boat trip up the river to the 'secret beach'. Yaka Park in the Xanthos Valley is another lovely spot to visit if you enjoy exploring nature.

"Best Short Break Ever ......"
This holiday was booked as a thank you to my Mother-in-law who does an incredible amount for us in the way of child caring. From the very start, the booking process was absolutely fantastic, right through to us arriving home & receiving the refund for our security deposit. From many, many years of travelling, all around the world, this has been the best book experience that I have had the pleasure to deal with. Well done Nicola. The apparement was just as described, really perfect for our short break. My challenge now, to save up for our next stay at this location. Thank you. Brilliant.
Thank you very much for your kind words about my booking service and the Jasmine 16 apartment at the Botanic Gardens. I would be delighted to welcome you back on another holiday any time in the future.

"Good Value Apartment"
We stayed as a family of 5 at the beginning of August 2014. The apartment was very spacious and the gardens and pool very well maintained. The 2 bedroom apartment was a good size and there was 2 bathrooms. The kitchen, though small, allowed us to cook a number of meals if we didnt want to go out. The complex has a cheap mini bus service that goes to the surrounding attractions such as beach and markets. It leaves usually at 10am and is back at 3pm. We didnt use the on site restaurant apart from when we wanted breakfast one morning, that though advertised on the menu the owner wasnt there to serve it. The only time food seemed to be available apart from the evening was on Sunday when the restauranteers parents made Turkish pancakes. The pool was very nice and the weird 4 petal shape had the advantage of being able to get away from the ball throwers when they were around as you just used another of the petals. Our apartment was supposed to have 2 sunloungers but we were never able to locate these. There were enough communal sunloungers to use though. The on site shop was shut through lack of use and the centres gym had seen better days. I recommend this apartment for families with young to early teenage children as it is very much a family complex.
Thank you for the nice review about the apartment and complex. I am really pleased that the complex minibus was useful and you found the apartment good value for money. Thank you for your constructive feedback. The complex management use their discretion about opening hours of bar/ restaurant according to how busy the complex is. I will speak with the owners about the whereabouts of the sunbeds for this apartment so they are easier to locate.

"Lovely complex and lovely people"
The apartment was lovely - spacious, beautifully furnished, clean and well-equipped. The pool was gorgeous! Getting to Dalaman was easy for the markets etc. Lots of amazing and some unusual restaurants nearby (cheap taxis). A really good value holiday - felt like. 5 star for the price of 3 star!
Thank you for your lovely review and for pointing out some of the benefits of staying here. We would be delighted to welcome you back for another holiday soon.

"Half term holiday"
Collected as arranged from airport giving a stress free start to holiday. Apartment and complex very nice if rather isolated. Were there out of season, so complex facilities almost non existent so cannot comment. Were able to make use of site taxi service to visit local areas, and they were flexible as to where we went. Understand from other guests local restaurants would provide taxi services to and from restaurants on booking table. Did not try this ourselves. Few guests/apartment owners on site were friendly and we had a relaxing week. Would have been useful if bikes were available to hire to look around area (understand these are now available). Definitely felt we were abroad!! We rather apprehensive about driving in the area, but roads were actually good and it would not have been a problem. We went for a quiet relaxing week, am sure the place would be very different in high season, with lots of activities etc.
Thanks for taking the time to submit this review. As you say, October half is at the very end of the holiday season everywhere in Turkey so everything quietens down in preparation for the winter months. Low season is a good time to stay if you are wanting a peaceful, chilled out holiday. In the summer time, it is busier with more people staying and more activities and complex facilities available. We are pleased that you felt 'on holiday' and would love to welcome you back sometime in the future.
