FROM THE GUEST BOOK...........
We had a lovely time, villa was beautiful, peaceful and well equipped. The pool and surrounds were fantastic and your maintenance team excellent, someone came every day - watered all the plants, washed everything down and made sure that everything was working properly, v impressed. We found the local people very friendly - one night at the Dolphin Restaurant my card wouldn't work and the owner, who had never met us before - told us not to worry and to pay him the next day! Good marketing ploy - we went back!! We would certainly recommend the property to anyone visiting the area, thank you for a very relaxing holiday. Margie Rose, Salisbury
I just wanted to say that we had a brilliant time at your beautiful villa in Sarigerme. The weather, the locals, the food and beach were all just perfect! It has been a pleasure and hopefully we can use the villa again some time in the future. Angela Brookson, Hertfordshire
"We spent a most fantastic week at Villa Kartal Manzara. The views are to die for and it was so peaceful. Didn't want to go out anywhere as everything we needed was in the villa. We went early October and the weather was just perfect for us (not too hot) but more than hot enough for lazing around the pool in the sun. A perfectly wonderful week. We'll be back! Kathy and Peter Fry, Suffolk
A stunning villa in a fantastic natural location. Going for walks or lazing by the pool whilst looking out on a spectacular view to the med is highly recommended. Colin and Colette Murphy Coventry UK
Have had a wonderful 10 days. Fantastic villa, location, village and beach. Everything has been thought of and we were not wanting for anything. Only regret is that we should have booked 2 weeks! Will be back with the kids to learn more wind surfing etc at the beach. The Maher family, London
Beautiful villa, beautiful country, beautiful people. Loved it so much we have bought land to build our own "Piece of Paradise" The Mohammad's family, London
We have had a super week at this beautiful villa - the pool has been amazing and views to die for! The de Carteret family and the Stammers, London
First class accommodation and pool. As well as enjoying the magnificant views and lazing by the pool, we managed to drag our-selves away on a number of trips, the notable ones being
- boat trip from Fethiye on "Mirage" top class lunch on board and great swimming from the boat.
- Ephesus, the 3 hour drive was worth it!
- Katranci, 12 ks east of Gocek - beautiful small bay with beach restaurant and bar.
- to experience real rural living and turkish villages drive west towards Dalyan.
- Sunday market in Sarigerme is worth a visit especially to enjoy a stuffed "gozleme" and cai prepared by the local women at the market. We shall be recommending this holiday to our family and friends.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise Coast, situated in South West Turkey is named after the beautiful colouring in the lakes, rivers and sea due to the limestone rock. This fascinating area is attractive to tourists because of a fabulous climate, spectacular scenery and its rich 2000 years of ancient history. The Lycian coast is one of the most varied and beautiful coastal areas in the Mediterranean. Almost everywhere you go you will encounter historical remains from Lycian times.
Sarigerme is the site of the ancient city of Physilis. This city is now buried under the shifting sand. As a result of tourism development carried out before excavations, and the construction of hotels in the region, the history of Physilis is to remain under the sands of Sarigerme. Sarigerme is the name given to the coast near the village of Osmaniye, 850 metres inland from the shore. The name Sarigerme is linked to the Sariçay stream that divides Osmaniye and the coast. The Sariçay was once used as the transportation route for timber that was brought from the forest to the sea. To prevent the timber from escaping into the sea the stream’s outlet into the ocean was closed during times of timber transportation. Thus the name ‘Germe’ ,which means tightening or fencing .
Turkish people are renowned for their friendliness and hospitality. It is normal to be offered tea when browsing in the shops and markets and to be treated like an honoured guest when invited into local homes.
The Dalaman / Sarigerme area
SARIGERME – This small Gem on the Aegean coast remains a haven. Sarigerme beach (Blue Flag), which extends for almost 7 kilometres, has been designated as a National Park Conservation Area and has fantastic views and a gentle sea breeze most of the summer. Special features are the gardens offering picnic areas nestling under Olive and Oleander trees on the edge of the beach. There are many water sports available for hire. There is a free shuttle bus service which operates from the village to the beach. The island of Babaada, situated right off the coast ,is the place where boats and yachts moor up regularly.
Sarigerme village is approximately a 15 minute walk from the Villa – however, it should be noted that this is not for very small children or elderly as the hill road is safe but steep. The main street has many shops,
specialising in local products and produce, restaurants and bars. There are 2 ATM machines as well as local shops who will exchange currency for you. There is a local market every Sunday offering a good selection of local produce of Honey, Nuts and Turkish Delight to name but a few. This is a good time to sample the traditional Gozleme, filled with various savoury or sweet fillings of your choice. Not to be missed. I can fully recommend the banana and honey, wow!
There is a large selection of tourist information available in the Villa, however, here are some highlights:
TOURS - there are several tour operators in Sarigerme offering a range of day trips and tours such as Jeep Safari, white water rafting, gulet cruising, boat trips specialising in the 12 Islands Tour, as well as scuba diving and snorkeling, quad bikes, horse riding, Turkish Nights to name but a few!
Excellent location for travel to Dalaman, Fethiye. Gocek, and Dalyan to name but a few. Everything you need for a wonderful relaxing holiday is within easy reach. The Turquoise Coast is without doubt one of the most beautiful areas in which to relax and unwind. From the backdrop of the Taurus mountains the coast has many beautiful beaches, crystal clear turquoise seas, stunning scenery and numerous places of historical interest.
DALYAN and Iztuzu Beach - Take a riverboat tour on the Dalyan Delta River to Iztuzu Beach or into Koyzegi Lake where you can visit the mud baths or just relax. Iztuzu beach has 5kms of crescent shaped totally unspoilt beach to swim, walk or play. Motor boats are not allowed past this area, which is protected, because the giant loggerheads breed between May and August, and it is possible to go on early morning viewing trips to the beach to feed the turtles.
GOCEK - International yachting harbour offering a varied choice of sophisticated bars and restaurants.
FETHIYA – Has the largest market in the region and takes place on Tuesdays. The fascinating section of the old town area features the Old Bazaar shopping centre. There is also a large harbour which caters for daily boat trips including regular ferries across to Rhodes. A good choice of restaurants are available and a must is a visit to the Fish Market where you can purchase your choice of fish and take it to one of the restaurants in the square where they will cook it for you to your taste.
