The area is a rich mixture of culture and attractions. The villa is good for families , it has a cot and gates at the top of the steps from the main terrace to prevent young children going down into the garden and pool. Also it is a romantic place for couples to stay. We have had a number of honeymooners stay.Muslim families, groups have also enjoyed the villa and the managers( who are both muslim ) can arrange for the poolman/gardener to let you know the time he is coming before hand to allow for covering of females.

"FIVE STAR VACATION"
We very rarely go to the trouble of writing reviews. However, we were so impressed with many aspects of our stay at this villa that we feel compelled to share our experience. The first thing that struc… More
It pleases us that the people who stay at Dalaman villa enjoy their stay so much.

Holiday in Dalaman
We were initially quite stunned at the vast space, privacy and grandeur of this property.
With 6 adults and two children the villa accommodated us for two weeks in relaxing comfort.
Cool filtered water and toilet paper provided for us on arrival was also a nice touch.
Although the large pool and games room are fantastic and hard to leave I would recommend taking advantage of the close surrounding beaches and restaurants and doing some day trips to absorb the unique friendly culture, all accessible with a hire car that the owners contacts in Dalaman arranged for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be booking again in the near future.
Ourselves and our managers work hard to provide a special holiday home for our guests so it is particularly pleasing when people make the effort to write helpful reviews for them.

"Great Villa Base for Relaxing and Access to Explore Lycian Coast"
We booked this property for two weeks holiday as a family of 4 (children age 5 & 9).
At the advice of the owner we used a local car hire company who picked us up and took us to the villa. I would recommend the owner recommended car hire company as we had some teething issues which they helped accommodate. As we arrived at 2:00 AM the car hire company gave us the keys as they have a good relationship with the local villa agent.
Unless you are planning on staying at the Villa for the duration of your stay, a car is definitely recommended / essential (certainly with children). We based ourselves at the villa and made day trips as Far East as Fethiye / Oludeniz (approx 1 hour) and as far West as Marmaris (approx 90 minutes). This was the limit we wanted to travel with the children but the main road is of a good standard and further trips East / West appeared quite manageable.
Once we had made the booking all contact was with the Local Agent (Ladybird Estates). They were great help in planning our arrival and for support during our stay (helping with specific bookings and arrangements with restaurants who spoke little English). Ladybird also kindly arranged some groceries for our arrival until we were able to pick up ourselves the next day (due to late arrival).
The villa was to a high standard with all the amenities advertised and well maintained (including garden and pool). A point to note is that the twin room is located out with the main villa in an adjacent building (circa 10 feet from the villa), we put our children in the master suite and my wife and I took the double room. AC was available in all bedrooms although we didn't use it. Provision of towels / linen etc was good.
We generally spent a day at the villa then a day out and vice versa. The swimming pool, outside pool table provide amusement / entertainment in addition to some board games available (and travel Scrabble and books which we brought).
We used the DVD player which the children used later in the evening to watch DVDs, or during the higher mid day temperatures (Scottish family). There was a wireless router but we didn't try and use it, or the satellite TV.
We understood that power cuts are common and water cuts occasional in Turkey during summer. We experienced one power cut which lasted approx 30 - 45 minutes in the evening but nothing else.
There is a great supermarket 5 minutes drive from the villa and Dalaman hosts a number of further shops for groceries. The Dalaman market on a Thursday was an excellent place to pick up fresh fruit and veg from local farmers at very low prices.
Be aware that Dalaman is not a tourist destination at all. We spoke no Turkish to begin with but were able to manage fine. There are a number of tourist locations nearby at Dalyan, Fethiye, Marmaris where we saw advertised 'English' breakfasts etc which you more typically see in Spain but Dalaman is a Turkish town.
We spent several days out at beaches (Itzuzu - Turtle -beach; Sarigerme beach; Oludeniz). Unlike other places, there is not a wealth of amenities at the beaches and they are further removed. We bought a cool store box and brought picnics / food / drinks fr the beach. The cool store box cost approx £15. Drinks, snacks and ice creams were available at all places but generally same fare in all locations). All beaches were of a high standard and very clean. A wealth of water sports available at Sarigerme. As someone who likes to swim in the ocean the beaches were quite rough /choppy. The children enjoyed been thrown about in the waves however and had a good time at all beaches.
We saw the turtles at Itzuzu but as a word of warning, if you are offered directions into Dalyan by someone on a scooter it is a boat Captain who will direct you to his boat and try to sell you a tour / boat hire. It is cheaper to use the boat taxis for individual or combined trips to Itzuzu; Dalyan mud baths; Kaunos etc. it is definitely worth shopping around.
We visited Atlantis water park in Marmaris which the kids enjoyed (spent an afternoon there and morning touring round the Bazaar).
The villa was an excellent base to explore part of the Lycian coast. We bought a couple of guides prior to travelling, whilst there is a lot to do and see, some of the distances to be driven weren't for us (have spent past 2 years in North part of Ibiza where everything is no more than 20 minutes away) but the villa could certainly serve as a centre point for. For our holiday it more than catered for our requirements.
Hope this review helps.
We would like to thank our guest for this very positive review.
To clarify, the twin room referred to is still within the large stone walled private gardens of the villa. Also it is possible to easily make the master bedroom into a twin room. In addition there are extra bed-settees in the lounge.
Also the suggestion that power and water cuts are common is very out of date. These are nowadays rare occurrences in Dalaman.
