Stunning apartment in a small complex, situated in Dalaman and only 10 minutes from the airport. Our beautiful holiday home is situated in the heart of rural country living, but only a 5 minute drive into town.
Our apartment would not suit anyone looking for a lively environment, we are surrounded by mountains, orchards and small holdings, our neighbours across the way breed, sheep, goats, cows and poultry, they will happily sell you fresh eggs and milk and homemade yoghurt.
We are on the 3rd floor , accessible by stairs, we have our own roof terrace and balcony overlooking the large swimming pool, and stunning views from all sides .
The complex is shared by both Brits and Turkish people which makes for a great combination as the Turks are very friendly and love to help, don't be surprised to find them offering you tea by the pool!
Car hire would be recommended to go sightseeing, The beautiful sandy beach at Sarigerme is worth a visit as is the town itself, it is only 12k , look out for the storks nesting on the pylons along the road.
Dalyan is a 25 minute drive, with it's historical tombs, take a boat ride up the river to Turtle beach, conservation area.
Gocek, Fethye and Chalis beach make for a great day out.
We do not have TV in the apartment, we prefer to sit on the balcony and watch the antics of the animals across the road! Where else can you sit and watch the cows come home every day! Not to mention the sheep!
Local restaurants will happily pick you up and drop you off after your meal, this is common practice in Dalaman. The nearest local supermarket is 5 minutes walk, a further 10 minutes will bring you to a large supermarket where you will find everything you need for your stay. I recommend the freshly made Turkish delight....

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Slicing into Turkey's south west coast, the Dalaman area has been attracting visitors since ancient times. Back then, it was the destination of choice for Greek gods like Pegasus and Apollo. Today, the area pulls in more than 2 million tourists a year.
The region's appeal begins with its beaches. Known as the Turquoise Coast, the Dalaman area's shoreline is a chain of coves, bays and long stretches of sand.
Fifteen minutes' drive from Dalaman, this village on the southwest coast of Turkey was once the bustling ancient city of Pisilis. Sarigerme take things slower than its ancient ancestor, though, with a just a laid-back village centre and a couple of bars and restaurants. It's a different speed down on the sandy beach, mind – the sweeping stretch is popular with kiteboarders.
Dalyan is a traditional fishing village on the southwest corner of Turkey's Mediterranean coast. It's in an idyllic setting, surrounded by citrus fields and pine-clad hills and with a river running through it down to the sea. It's not just a beauty spot, though – there are fantastic waterfront restaurants overlooking cliffside tombs, lots of upbeat bars and a lively market, too.
Iztuzu Beach – aka Turtle Beach thanks to the famous Loggerhead sea turtles that breed there – is about 30 minutes away by boat. It's a lovely journey that takes you down the river delta past tall reeds and native terrapins. And when you get there, you've got a crescent of fine white sand stretching for over 4 kilometres. That means plenty of room for you and the turtles.
Dalyan's main street, Maras Caddesi, has the full gamut of bars and nightclubs that stay open 'til late. There's lots of choice here, from family-friendly places with games consoles for the kids to the boisterous clubs plucked straight from an Ibiza strip. And there are plenty of chilled-out bars that serve Efes beer in a cosy setting, too.
Daytrips to Lake Koycegiz
From Dalyan, one of the most popular daytrips is to the mud baths at Lake Koycegiz, just 4 kilometres away by boat. Everyone covers themselves in warm mud then lets it dry in the sun, a beauty treatment which reputedly can take years off you. You're then rinsed off courtesy of the Sultanye thermal springs.
