Akdeniz Evleri (complex)
Akdeniz Evleri is a large group of detached, privately owned holiday villas. Akdeniz is located between 200m high hills and the banks of the Dalaman river, 10 minutes drive from the small holiday resort of Sar?germe and 20 minutes drive from Dalaman International Airport.
Akdeniz has been designed with swimming pools, cafe bar and small shop at the centre. Well maintained gardens and palm tree lined paths fan outwards from the central pool area.
The site is car free; all cars must stop at the car park in front of the security office. There are trolleys located in the site for transporting your luggages to the villa.
Facilities within the complex:
A large swimming pool and shallow children's pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. Both pools are filled and maintained from May to October inclusive.
o Cafe Bar
o Small Shop
o Football Pitch
o Volleyball Court
o Basketball Court
Essential food and drinks are available from the on-site shop. Serious self caterers will need to look further afield for fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, poultry and specialist food. Either visit one of the local towns on market days or one of the local supermarkets.
During the season (beginning of May to the end of October) there is a free taxi-boat from the Akdeniz Evleri jetty along the river to a private beach. This takes about 10 minutes. This end of the beach is very peaceful and there are currently no food or drink facilities, just a few sun loungers, parasols and a shower, so be sure to take with you everything that you need! Please note, however, that this beach shelves very steeply and can be quite choppy when windy, so it is not recommended for very young children or non-swimmers.
The timetable for the boat is on a notice board in the shaded seated area opposite the security office. This also shows the times that the minibus goes to Sar?germe and to the weekly markets in Dalaman and Ortaca.
A superb Blue Flag beach is reached by going through Sar?germe. It is perfect for all, including young children, as it shelves very gently and the shallow water is (usually!) lovely and warm. There are changing rooms, showers, toilets, a cafe and plenty of sun loungers and parasols to rent. There is even a small zoo! Be sure to visit the Sar?germe Watersports Centre at one end of the beach for a go on a pedalo, a banana boat or on Big Mabel, or to try windsurfing, sailing, or waterskiing. During the season the dolmush buses run from the centre of Sar?germe to the beach.
In the nearby town of Sar?germe there are shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and a market every Sunday morning.
Whilst we do recommend that you hire a car, this is not essential as taxis are relatively cheap and readily available from Akdeniz. Tourist trips to all the popular locations can be arranged in Sar?germe and pick-ups/drop-offs at Akdeniz are provided. Some local restaurants also provide a pick-up/drop-off service.
Akdeniz is close to several international hotels (e.g. Hilton, Pegasus) where, for a fee, you can use their facilities.
There is also a Thermal Mud Bath called Kükürt Blue Thermal just over 2km away (roughly 1 hour walking slowly). This is thoroughly recommended, great fun and is very good for your skin - or so it is told.
o Turkish Baths - Be sure to go early in your holiday so you don't scrub off your tan; it leaves your skin feeling wonderfully soft and is supposed to prepare your skin for a good tan.
o Barbers - A very enjoyable experience that men and boys will never forget. Have a shave with a cut-throat razor and, if you want have your ear and nose hairs trimmed off - by burning! Our favourite barber is also a popular local folk singer in his spare time and may sing for you - if you ask nicely!
o Hairdresser – There is a new hairdresser in the village and she is a proffesional what ever you like to make you a perfect looking for your summer nights.
o Jeep safari - An amazing and unforgettable experience with rock tombs, mountains, rivers, lakes, wild life, sea, fantastic views and lunch all in one day.
o Water sports - For sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, pedalos, banana boat and Big Mabel at the Sar?germe Watersports centre.
o Scuba Diving - from beginner to expert.
o Iztuzu (Caretta) Beach - This is a long beach where the Caretta Caretta turtles lay their eggs and is thus a protected area. There is now a Turtle Sanctuary, caring for turtles injured by boats and fishing lines. You can get to the Turtle Sanctuary end of the beach by road, or to the other end via a relaxing 40 minute river boat trip from Dalyan.
o Sarsala Beach - A secluded cove with breath-taking views from the hill down to the beach. In season there is a restaurant and boat trips from the beach. Well worth the 30 minute drive from Dalaman.
o Tandem Microlite with Come Fly - Go on the earliest flight and see turtles on the beach. Don't forget your camera/video camera.
o History - Kaunos, a settlement dating back to 3000BC with amphitheatre, agora, temples and Lycian Rock tombs overlooking Dalyan.
o White Water Rafting on the Dalaman River
o Thermal Spring Mud Baths & Health Spa
o Boat trips - If you only do one boat trip, it has to be the 12 Islands from Göcek!
o Mountain biking, sea fishing, horse riding, quad biking.
o Eating Turkish food!
o Shopping, local markets

Sarigerme is a beautiful, traditional Turkish small seaside village and destined to become the centre of one of Turkey's most exclusive resorts only a few minutes away from Dalaman International Airport
Sarigerme has a stunning sandy beach stretching seven kilometres and lies in a sheltered bay of clear warm waters
Sarigerme is part of the considerable Dalaman Tourism project and is already seeing major changes which will ensure that it becomes the centre of one of Turkey's most exclusive resorts.
Sarigerme boasts 7km of Blue Flag golden beaches and crystal blue waters earning it the name of Turkey's Turquoise Coast.
Sarigerme is tipped to be the next Bodrum having been marked by The Turkish Government as a tourism development region which has already resulted in The Hilton Group openned a five star Hotel in the village, the group's first foot print in Turkey.
The Sarigerme 18 hole championship Golf Course will officially open in 2014 and given that the nearest golf course is in Antalya some 300 km away it's not surprising that interest has surged from Golfers in the area pushing up land prices.
Indeed, a further six courses are planned in nearby Dalaman in the next few years.
If that isn't enough, Dalaman Marina will officially open for business in 2014 as well, providing moorings for 675 yachts along with 500 ashore capacity for large yachts spanning between 10-60 metres in length. The Marina will also be able to accommodate Mega-Yachts satisfying strong demand.
Sarigerme, with close proximity to Dalaman International Airport and with more and more modern accomodation facilities being built, has found itself as a center of touirsm in a region fast becoming internationally popular. In this context, it is an ideal place for development and tourism and attracting the attention of investors.
