Located in the quieter Eel Garden area of Dahab on the edge of the Bedouin village of Assala yet just 10 minutes walk from the tourist centre of Dahab our apartment is a perfect base for enjoying all Dahab has to offer and absorbing some local culture. Couples, groups of friends or family groups will appreciate the comfort, privacy and convenience afforded by staying in your own 'home from home'.
Rooftop 'Arishas' (sunshade with bedouin seating and hammocks) are shared between a block of two apartments. With their stunning panoramic views of the Red Sea, Dahab and the mountains they are a great place to spend time with a book or a drink and relax into your holiday - also great for birdwatching!
This apartment is furnished and fitted out with everything required for a comfortable self catering holiday.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region
The Sinai is steeped in history and Dahab is a great base from which to explore it. Visit St Katherines monastery which still houses the biblical burning bush and is located at the base of Mount Sinai where moses received the 10 commandments. Climb the mountain and see the sunrise.
There are also crusader castles, tombs and many natural wonders - Oasis' and canyons to explore. Take a camel ride into the mountains and eat a traditional bedouin meal under the stars, round an open fire.
Theres just as much to explore under the water with the beautiful coral reef stretching along the coast and many beachfront cafes to relax in between dips.
Dahab / El Asalah area
Dahab, an oasis of palms between the sinai mountains and the blue waters of the Red Sea was until quite recently a small bedouin village and a favourite spot for travellers to relax. Still something of a secret It has developed into a unique holiday destination with plenty of bohemian charm retaining its village feel and laid back attitude.
A worldclass destination for both windsurfing and scuba diving, other popular activities include yoga, horse riding, kite surfing , snorkelling, kayaking, sailing and desert safari's to explore the history and beauty of the sinai desert. Or just come for a relaxing break far removed from the built up resorts and the madding crowd.
How to get there
Direct flights to Sharm-el Sheikh from the U.K are now numerous and cheap with Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Monarch, Xl and Thomas Cook all flying regularly Redseaflights.com is always a good website to check for flights especially last minute deals.
We can arrange your transfer from Sharm airport to the apartments by private air conditioned mini bus, the journey takes about 50 minutes and gives you a first view of the stunning Sinai mountains.

Further details indoors: The apartment consists of two twin/ double bedrooms with sea views, a modern wet room bathroom and a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped fitted kitchen. The comfortable lounge area opens onto the balcony with views over the rooftops and minarets of the Bedouin village to the Sinai mountains beyond. The apartment sleeps four in the bedrooms or up to six by converting the sofas into comfortable beds for the night.
Both bedrooms can be made up with double or twin beds depending on your needs
To ensure a relaxed start to your stay we provide a welcome pack of essential groceries and a sample of the local beer and with local amenities including a pharmacy, bakery, supermarkets, off license, grocers, butchers and restaurants just two minutes walk away it is very easy to keep stocked up.
Further details outdoors: The Eel Garden dive site and restaurant area home to some of the best restaurants in town is five minutes walk from the apartments and Dahab Bay with its colourful bazaars and restaurants is a pleasant ten minutes walk along the beach promenade or a two minute taxi ride away. Taxis are numerous and very cheap in Dahab.
With over ten years professional diving experience and extensive local knowledge the owner Tim Blair can tailor make a dive package to suit the needs of you and your group.
The English owners live locally, will greet you on arrival and are available to offer any assistance you require during your stay.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Price includes all electricity, water and local taxes.
Cleaning on departure is included in the price, sheets and towels are changed weekly. Full cleaning with linen change can be arranged during your stay for 20€.
The higher prices quoted for groups of 5 or 6 adults are nesesary due to the increased use of facilities. PLEASE NOTE - This supplement does not apply to family groups of 2 adults and up to 4 children under 16 for whom rental rates are as for 4 people.
30% deposit is taken on booking with the remainder payable on arrival.

We were a group of four who recently stayed at the apartment. We only intended to stay in dahab for one week but it was so nice we stayed a couple of days more.
We were picked up and welcomed by Sian (co-owner with Tim) who was really nice and welcomed us to our lovely apartment. They had very kindly stocked up the fridge and cupboards with some lovely treats and drinks.
The apartment was everything we'd hoped for and more. It was very clean, spacious comfortable and excellent value. (really good air con system too). By far the best bit was the bedouin style roof terrace with hammock and lovely cussions laid out around palm tree logs. We spent most of our time up on this terrace where you could get amazing views of the sea, dahab village, and mountain range. We even enjoyed a evening barbecue up there one night.

We had a wonderful time at Sea Stars (4 adults and 2 children). Tim was a wonderful host, acting as a travel agent whilst we were there - constantly on hand to organise anything we wanted to do. The apartment was exactly as it looked in the photos - spacious, clean and well equipped.
We were there for the windsufing down at the lagoon (about a 5 minute "taxi" ride away), and it couldn't have been better. The taxis were also waiting in the main market square and cost just £1 to get to the lagoon.
If it's Dahab and the diving/snorkelling you're interested in, then Sea Stars is perfect. it is at the north end of Dahab, and there is a lovely walk down the promenade past several lovely restaurants into Dahab centre. The north of the promenade is quieter (about 10 minutes walk from the main Dahab centre), but that suited us perfectly.
