The three apartments:STELLA, GARDEN and EDEN are located within the same compound. They are situated approx. 5 minutes (walking) away from the beach, Dahab centre and restaurants. All the apartments have either a private balcony / terrace ( Stella / Eden ) or an outside seating area ( Garden ) and all three have access to a playground and a small freshwater pool for the kids. All three are equipped with all mod cons to a European standard.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region
Dahab is located In the historical Sinai peninsula, an area of interest culturally / historically as well as having many places of outstanding beauty - these can be visited on desert safaris and treks. The world famous St. Katherine's Monastery and Mt. Sinai are just 1.5 hours away by road. In the hotter summer months there are many beachside destinations, again reachable as part of a safari programme, suitable for snorkeling. For divers there are various internationally renowned dive sites - the Blue Hole 12km north of Dahab and the national parks of Ras Mohamed and Nabq close to Sharm El Sheikh. For guests who like a quiet and relaxing place to stay, ( in contrast to the hustle bustle of Sharm ), the latter locations can also be visited using Dahab as a base. Other places of interest include Pharaoh's Island further north and the Spring of Moses on the coastline of the Gulf of Suez.

Ras Abu Galum Protected Area - beachside Bedouin settlement suitable for diving, snorkeling, swimming and just relaxing on the beach! Wadi Ganei / Southern Oasis - great snorkeling and diving locations, plus a selection of laid back Bedouin restaurants serving a full range of food and beverages. Blue Hole - world famous snorkeling / diving location with a selection of restaurants as above. Bedouin dinners in the valleys surrounding Dahab - modes of transportation are camel and jeep. There are many beachside restaurants, cafes and bazaars along the corniche which runs all the way through Dahab and are therefore easily accessible on foot. Bikes are available for rent at inexpensive rates. Approx. 300 days per year have some wind - Dahab is one of the world's best locations for wind- and kitesurfing.
How to get there
Nearest Airport is Sharm el Sheikh, 95km away. Journey time is approx. 1 hour. Charter flights are available from all European countries. Transfers can be arranged on request. For longer stay visitors who are temporarily resident in other Egyptian locations, there are frequent domestic Egypt Air flights to Sharm El Sheikh.

Further details indoors: In all the apartments guests will find a kitchen equipped with a gas cooker, fridge and a complete range of cooking utensils. All bedrooms are supplied with bed linen and also hand and bath towels. GARDEN apartment sleeps max. 5 people in 3 bedrooms, STELLA sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms and EDEN sleeps 3 people in 2 bedrooms.
Further details outdoors: STELLA, GARDEN and EDEN apartments all offer the guest a secluded location in which to relax, which is however just a short distance from the sea. Access to the apartments is from the main road which runs all the way through Dahab; if guests wish to take a taxi to anywhere within the town, they will find one easily without looking far! The apartments are situated in the "authentic" part of town and a short 5 minute walk brings one to Asala, the Bedouin village and the markets and shops used by the local people. You can see goats and camels in the street and the guest will really have the feeling that he / she is in Egypt - great photo opportunities on the doorstep! This area is in ambience as well as geographically far removed from the southern area of Dahab Lagoon, where the international hotel chains are based.

Name: Rob & Jo From: Bristol, UK E-mail: rob_boreham@hotmail.com We stayed in the Garden apartment which was incredibly spacious and clean with a shady terrace for drinking wine and unwinding after a hard day diving. The Garden apartment would be great for a family or a group of friends. The house is a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and shops and by being that few minutes away from main strip and resulting hustle and bustle we got to see behind the scenes of Dahab camels, goats and bricks being made by hand. We found Barbara and Fathy's place to be a delightful sanctuary in the un-cut diamond that is Dahab. As first time visitors, Barbara and Fathy's help and advice was invaluable and made our week unforgettable. Tip for anyone snorkeling at The Lighthouse – explore the coral garden on the other side of the bay from the main reef as it is not as busy as the reef - we had it to ourselves - but has as many fish and coral and is more sheltered. We highly recommend staying here and will be going back as soon as we can. Thanks so much to Barbara and Fathy
My partner and I and our two children (9 and 12 years)came to stay at Swipin during the spring holidays for two weeks. Barbara and Fathy were warm, welcoming and had excellent knowledge about the local area/ excursions. The whole holiday provided us with a well earned break and it ticked all the boxes for us. We did windsurfing at the lagoon and snorkelling locally and at the blue hole. My daughter (9 years) and I went horse riding with Summer at the Blue Beach Hotel (where the horses are well cared for and fabulous to ride). We did a camel trek to an oasis and then a walk through the white canyon. Whilst the apartment had a kitchen, eating out was so good and inexpensive we ended up going out most nights. The apartment was large and comfortable and we enjoyed exploring the local area and market for fresh produce. The children loved the taxi rides (sitting on the floor in the back of a pick up), despite the limited safety aspects! The holiday was everything we wanted it to be and more. we liked the fact that we were staying in the bedouin area of Dahab and not in a big complex/Hotel. We were sad when it was time to leave and feel it is a place we would love to return to in the future. Thankyou!
