This spacious luxury apartment is centrally located in the Bedouin village of Assalah. A peaceful place to relax and take in local life, the apartment is newly furnished and fully equipped for your self-catering stay, just 5 minutes walk to the local beach and 15 minutes to the main Dahab bay. The apartment has generously spaced living areas with an open plan kitchen and large bedroom/study with air conditioning.
The balcony garden, with its wide open views over the village, sea and nearby mountains, is the perfect place for sunbathing, outside dining and enjoying the last rays of evening sun over the Gulf of Aqaba. The European resident managers are your point of contact during your stay. With fifteen years experience in the area, they are on hand with local knowledge to help complete your holiday plans and activities. Special offers for diving, hiking, tours and other activities are available, along with a complementary pocket map of the town and surrounding area.

The sitting area will also convert into a large comfy double bed or two single beds as necessary giving flexibility to families and couples (up to 4 people in total) to expand the sleeping capacity of this very spacious apartment. With curtain separation to the sitting area privacy is assured maintaining full access to the kitchen, bathroom and balcony.

The large balcony boasts amazing views over Assalah village to the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia and the rugged Sinai mountains nearby. The roof garden offers a selection of herbs along with local flowers and palms. A table and chairs is provided for dining outside and a cosy bedouin style area for relaxing or sunbathing.

The Red Sea Riviera/Sinai region
The Sinai is a triangular peninsula in Egypt. It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Red Sea to the south, forming a land bridge between Africa and Southwest Asia. The Sinai is a region rich in history and culture. The local Bedouin who have inhabited the peninsula for thousands of years are still living throughout the Sinai today.
Dahab is one of a few beach side villages that is still largely inhabited by local Bedouin. Once you drive out into the desert the sights and experiences are endless. From St Catherine’s Monastery (the oldest continuously inhabited monastery in the world) and climbing to the top of Mount Sinai (where Moses was said to have received the 10 commandments) to geological wonders in the forms of gorges, canyons, sand dunes and oasis’, there is something for everyone!
The Dahab / El Asalah area
The word Dahab is Arabic for gold and is possibly a reference to the geographic locality; gold washed down from the desert mountains may have accumulated on the alluvial flood plain where the town was built. The name may also be a reference to the colour of the sands to the south of the town itself. Some locals attribute the name to the colour of the sky, just after sunset. Dahab is a small town situated on the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula.
Formerly a Bedouin fishing village, located approximately 80 km (50 miles) northeast of Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab is still considered to be one of the Sinai’s most treasured diving and windsurfing destinations.
During the 80’s and 90’s Dahab was a meeting place for hippies and backpackers, with its relaxed beach culture and café’s many travellers ended up staying longer than they expected. The establishment of a wider variety of places to stay and better facilities has now made this a popular destination with tourists from all over the world.
Dahab is full of adventure and exciting activities should you choose to take a break from the chilled Beach life. They include SCUBA diving and freediving, snorkelling, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, horse riding, quad biking, desert safaris, hiking, yoga, dance classes and many more.
