Home description

The West Wing is a charming white brick and flint barn conversion, situated in the grounds of the Hall Farm estate, which has fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the wonderful skyline. These views are particularly stunning during the summer months.

The West Wing has been decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard and offers everything required for a comfortable and convenient stay. The property is centrally heated throughout. Both children and pets are welcome in the property.

The Central England / Cotswolds / Buckinghamshire region

Buckinghamshire is an area that is full of things to see and do, visit the stunning Waddesdon Manor or take the kids to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre for a day out that they will never forget. With many different manor houses and stately home located in the area, lovers of history will be in for a real treat. Feeling tired? why not visit one of the many excellent village pubs that serve tradtional fayre and great ale, sure to ease away the aches and pains of a filling day exploring.


Dagnall area

Dagnall is a small village on the edge of the Chilterns. It is very well located for access to major towns such as Berkhamsted (6 miles) and Hemel Hempstead (8 miles).

It is only 4 miles to Whipsnade Safari Park which offers a great day out. Ashridge Esate is on your doorstep and is a lovely area of open countryside and woodland. The Grand Union Canal is also only minutes away and offers boat trips and walks along canal paths.

Take a day trip to London to satisfy all your shopping needs or visit the awesome Xscape building in Milton Keynes where you can Ski or Snowboard.

The West Wing's idyllic rural location disguises its convenient location for central transport links - such as the nearby A41 with its direct connection to junction 20 of the M25 and the local rail lines into central London.

The master bedroom is downstairs, with a comfortable king-sized bed, two built-in wardrobes, a chest of drawers, dressing table and sofa. This has an en-suite power shower in spacious cubicle, a large bath tub, with toilet and basin. There is a second double bedroom downstairs, and bathroom with separate steam/shower room with power shower, large bath tub, toilet and basin. Upstairs, there is a third bedroom with pitched roof, wooden flooring and exposed brickwork, and a comfortable double bed.

There is a mezzanine floor with a large room overlooking the spacious open plan living room below. This room is furnished with a desk and chair and is ideal for use as a study or office.

Downstairs, the new kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, microwave, and dishwasher. A separate utility room houses the boiler, washing machine and tumble drier.

The open plan living room and dining area is a spacious room with wooden flooring, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and original brickwork. There is a large pine dining table providing seating for six people and, in the dining area, an American-style fridge/freezer and ice machine. The sitting area has two large two-seater sofas, and a television. French doors offer fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.

Further details outdoors:
The garden belonging to The West Wing lies across the gravel drive from the French doors of the open plan living room. Mature, attractive and well-maintained flower beds surround the property and the gardens. Decking on the lawned garden provides a seating area for tenants where fantastic views of the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed.

Ample off road parking is available for tenant's use outside the property, but within the gated grounds.


Conditions

Bookings will be confirmed only on receipt of a deposit of one third of the total rental, (or if the booking is made within eight weeks of the commencement of the holiday, the full rental.)

A booking fee of £20.00 (£17.02 plus VAT £2.98) per property is required for bookings up to 4 weeks, for bookings of 4-12 weeks £45 (£38.30 plus vat £6.70) and bookings of 12 weeks or more a booking fee of £75 (£63.83 plus VAT £11.17) per property is required with the rental.

A damage deposit of £100 is payable for bookings up to 4 weeks long, and one week’s rental for bookings over 4 weeks. The deposit is fully refundable after the cleaners have inspected the property and any telephone bills have been itemised (if applicable).
