Our holiday villa has its own very private, landscaped garden (perfect for long lazy lunches) and is immediately adjacent a communal pool (incl. children’s pool) that exclusively serves the enclosed 12-villa cluster.

This luxurious golf villa has air-conditioning, heating and all of the rooms have ceiling fans. It is furnished to a high standard to compliment the rustic theme. Desert Springs staff who look after the villa are always on hand to offer assistance and advice.

The bright and airy living/dining room contains 2 comfortable sofas, Satellite TV + surround sound. The décor is fashionable with bright coloured prints on the walls to contrast with the soft colour scheme. The room has a wonderful view of the back garden and patio doors lead on to a terrace with a built in barbecue. The terrace has patio furniture offering alfresco dining for 6.

The Costa de Almeria region

This long lost part of Andalucia boasts the best winter climate in Spain, making it an attractive all year round destination for golf, tennis and water sports. There is no other climate like it; for this is Europe’s only desert, more akin to Arizona and New Mexico than anywhere else. This is really the Wild West! For this was the setting of many famous films of that genre, including Once upon a Time in the West and A Fistful of Dollars. The film set is now a great tourist attraction. The theme park is called Mini-Hollywood


There are many other golf courses in the area to choose from, one being the Valle Del Este golf course which has been carefully designed to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player. Other courses include Cortijo Grande, La Envia, Marina Golf and Almerimar, all within a short drive away.

Cuevas Del Almanzora / Desert Springs area

Many of our guests don’t even play golf. They come to experience the real Spain, with its excellent seafood and fine meats, all cooked in traditional Spanish style and to stay in luxurious surroundings that offer vistas second to none.

Villaricos, a quaint fishing village only 10 minutes from Desert Springs hosts its own fiestas, the amazing fire-cracking ‘Toro del Fuego’, the sea-going ‘Virgen del Carmen’ and the customary Easter parades. Locals enjoy ‘paseando’ along the seafront overlooking the limpid waters and take their time ‘charlando’ with relatives, friends and visitors.

How to get there

The Almanzora region is served by three International airports, Almeria 80 Km. being the closest. Alicante & Murcia airports approx. 200 Km. away, are less than two hours on the E15 motorway. Cheap flights are available from the UK & Ireland to all three airports.

The master bedroom (with king-size bed which can be made into two single beds with 1 weeks notice) has en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. It also has patio doors leading to a 1st floor large private solarium measuring approximately 35m² (with 3 sun loungers). The solarium has breathtaking panoramic views of the golf course with the mountains in the background.

The villa is set in a dramatic desert landscape of rocks, arroyos, springs, and cactus, which border and punctuate the lush green fairways.

Only 20 mins drive from the old Moorish town of Mojacar and 2 ½ hours drive from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada and with Almeria International Airport a mere 50 minute drive away, the Almanzora is the ideal destination for a long relaxing vacation.

Further details

Although the pool is not heated the water temperature is fine from April - October. The pool is shared with the other 12 villas in the cluster however as Desert Springs is primarily a golf resort there is never a problem finding a lounger.
