About the home
Walking into the cave house you are met with how bright and light it is inside, with rustic Spanish tiled floors and white painted walls. The lounge area has two comfy settees and there is a TV with satellite television. Through the archway from the lounge you come into the dining area with traditional Mexican pine furniture and a working fireplace. Walking through to the bright airy kitchen (which has windows and air conditioning!) you are met with all the mod cons necessary to make your holiday easier, calor gas hob, extractor fan, oven, dishwasher and washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer and plenty of wall and floor cupboards.
The average temperature throughout the cave during the year remains at a comfortable 70 deg F! It may be 90 deg F outside but its lovely and cool in the cave and vice versa during the Winter it may be 10 deg F outside but inside its a snug 70 degrees with a log fire should you require it!
There are three cave bedrooms, two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom and bunk beds. Along with two bathrooms - one has a walkin shower and is fully tiled from floor to ceiling - you are sure of a comfortable and unique experience staying in Stunnies Cave!
There is a parking space outside for two cars and just opposite the cave entrance is the fully walled and gated pool area with a kidney shaped swimming pool and patio area with BBQ, tables and chairs and sunbeds. This is totally private and belongs to the Cave exclusively.
There are surrounding mountain views and cave houses all around and the pool area has outside lighting for al fresco dining at night whilst watching the sun setting behind the mountains!

There are ample sunbeds and patio furniture which are available for around the secluded swimming pool. There are also exterior lights when a dip in the pool at midnight is a necessity! The pool is totally private and is surrounded by high walls and also has a locked gate - ideal for private sunbathing! There are fantastic views from the Cave House looking towards Cuevas del Almanzora and the mountains beyond. Desert Springs properties and Golf Course are also to be viewed from the Cave.

The Costa de Almeria region
Cuevas del Almanzora is a wonderful town with typical Spanish architecture and narrow cobbled streets with traditional Spanish houses, there is a wonderful castle at the top of the road in this town where a twice weekly market is held. On the outskirts of Cuevas there are plenty of cave houses and hotels and this is a unique area of Spain where tradition has remained.
The countryside surrounding the area is very dry and arid and there is the famous Dessert Springs Golf course literally minutes away by car. The nearest beach is Palomares which is only 10 minutes drive and San Juan de los Terreros beach is only 15 minutes drive away. Mojacar is 20 minutes drive where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.
The Cuevas Del Almanzora area
The town of Cuevas has traditional Spanish bars and restaurants and a beautiful square with a fountain where you can sit and have a glass or two of wine watching the world go by! The castle is worth a visit where there are wonderful views from the top of the castle of the surrounding area.
The twice weekly market is held just in front of the castle where you can haggle a bargain and buy fresh fruit and vegetables straight from the farmers! The waterpark is only 10 minutes drive away and the Oasys cowboy film set and zoo is only 1 hours drive. Well worth the drive to spend a day in the desert and watch the stuntmen act out a wild west scene!

20% non refundable deposit is required at time of booking. .80% balance is payable no later than 6 weeks before arrival. A security Bond of £200 is required to be paid no later than two weeks before arrival and this will be returned to yourselves after inspection of the cave for breakages or damage.
Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge within the rental cost. Electricity is included in the rental price. Cots and highchairs can be hired at a cost of 10 euros per item per week.
