The Costa de Almeria region
The region of Almeria is one of the most charming and unspoilt areas in south-eastern Spain. Enjoying the sunniest and warmest climate in the whole of Europe, it is known as ‘El Rincon del Embrujo’ or ‘the corner of enchantment’. This is the real Spain!
Mojacar village is an idyllic mix of sugar-cubed whitewashed buildings, cobbled winding streets and beautiful Moorish architecture. The main square looks across to the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains and is filled with street cafes, bars, boutiques and shops. Take a stroll through the maze of cobbled streets hidden behind the main square and you will find some wonderful restaurants and bars.
The area has many archaeological sites revealing Phoenician, Roman and Carthaginian histories. Visits to the local markets are very popular: Mojacar on Wednesdays, Garrucha on Fridays and Vera on Saturdays.
Cuevas Del Almanzora / Desert Springs area
The location of this villa is ideal for golfers and non-golfers alike. On your doorstep is Europe’s first and only Arizona desert style golf course, the perfect challenge for any golfer. For non-golfers, the Desert Springs Resort is set in the most peaceful and beautiful rural surroundings where relaxation is guaranteed. The resort also offers plenty of activities, such as tennis, mountain biking, volley ball, children’s play areas, gymnasium and with the beautiful Mediterranean beaches less than 15 minutes away there is something for everyone.
How to get there
Almeria airport is only 50 mins drive away. Majority of cheap airline fly in and out of Almeria. Easyjet, Monach and BA fly from most uk airports to Almeria.
Airport pickups can be arranged at reasonable rates. We do however recommend that you rent a car. This will give you total freedom to explore the beautiful Almeria coast.

Further details indoors: Los Saguaros is fully air-conditioned throughout and is laid out across four levels. You enter the villa on the ground floor and are immediately struck by the high level and great taste in furnishings.
The ground floor consists of a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, juicer etc..
There is also a separate large utility room with a sink and washing machine. Also on the ground floor is the open plan lounge / diner. The lounge area is spacious and bright and comes furnished with English TV, DVD & video player, Bose Stereo, IPOD docking station and a real log fire. Patio doors lead from the lounge to the rear garden and pool area.
Stairs lead from the lounge down to basement level where you will find a beautifully designed Bodega style dining room.
On the mezzanine floor there are three bedrooms. One is a king-size and has an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms on this floor are a king-size and a double. There is also a further family bathroom and a separate guest cloakroom.
The two king-size bedrooms can also be made up into twin rooms. (Please state preference at time of booking).
The large master bedroom is also a king-size and has its own dressing area and en-suite. The bedroom has double patio doors leading out on to a large private terrace with table and chairs overlooking the garden and out on to the golf course and mountains.
Further details outdoors: It is the beautiful design and attention to detail in the gardens and pool area that really makes this villa stand out!!
The patio doors from the lounge open out in to the tropical oasis of a garden. The pool is a free-form overflow pool with beach entrance. Flowing in to the main pool is a large separate raised “beer bath”, a large pool with seating ideal for ….yes you guessed it… a nice cold beer!!
Dotted around the garden there are numerous places to relax and enjoy the sun. There are hard and soft beach areas surrounding the pool and a deck leading from the terrace. There is also a secluded beach area surrounded by palms for a shady rest.
There are two covered terraces. The dining terrace, with seating for 8 can be directly accessed from the kitchen, ideal for al fresco dining with its traditional built-in barbecue and atmospheric lighting for those long summer evenings.
The garden is well stocked with mature palms, other indigenous Mediterranean plantings and cacti all in keeping with the overall feel of the resort. There is also a feature enclosed shower.
The front garden is an attractive gated traditional Mediterranean country style garden with mature olive, pine and herb plantings with ample parking leading to the underground garage.
