Braunton is approximately two miles away and has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Barnstaple: The main town of Barnstaple is 5 miles and has a Train Station, Cinema, Theatre, and many High Street Stores. Local Bus Service runs from Barnstaple to Braunton, Saunton, Croyde and Georgeham.
Croyde / Georgeham area
The village of Braunton is one of the largest villages in England. It is famous for The Great Field, a medieval system of strip farming believed to be one of only two remaining in the country. The Tarka Trail starts in the village and follows the estuary up stream. Home to Tiki, Second Skin and Salt Rock, Braunton is the centre of the surfing community. The village boasts a varied choice of shops, Banks, Take aways, Restaurants, Character Pubs and the Tourist Information Centre. May Bank Holiday weekend is the Carnival and Village Fair.
In the village of Croyde you will find a choice of pubs and restaurants, various surf shops, Tea rooms, Ice Cream Parlour and local stores. Croyde is home to the Surf Schools - Surfing Croyde Bay, Surfing South West & Barefoot Surf School. Other activities include Roylands Riding Stables, Cascades Indoor Funpool, Park & Skate Ramps. Baggy Point is an area of outstanding beauty it is National Trust Land, and provides stunning walks around the headland from Croyde to Putsborough.
How to get there
Follow the M4 or M3 to reach the M5 driving south to Devon and Cornwall Leave the M5 at junction 27 marked Barnstaple, onto link road A361 Half hour drive on the link road A361 towards Braunton. Take the Georgeham turnoff from the Braunton Fire Station and drive a further 2-3 miles.

The 2nd sitting room with TV, Freeview and DVD is ideal as a quieter area or playroom. The separate dining room is ideal for family celebrations with seating for ten and a secret cupboard to hide the gifts. Kitchen/breakfast room with table and six chairs fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, large fridge and freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Downstairs bathroom with bath, shower attachment over bath, WC and basin. Separate shower room with WC and basin. An added bonus, ideal after a day on the beach.
The main staircase leads to five bedrooms on the first floor together with a separate family bathroom containing bath, WC and basin. Bedroom 1, 2 and 3 each with twin beds, wardrobes, bedside tables, chest of drawers and spectacular country views. Bedroom 4 with Double bed. Bedroom 5 with Double bed and basin. Both double rooms have endless views, are spacious, contain wardrobes, chest of drawers and enough room for cots. The house is decorated throughout with beautiful prints of Monet, Renoir plus several Hunting and Rural scenes. There are fine framed Japanese embroidered pictures in the passage. Furnishings throughout this large home are in a mixture of styles.
