This attractive chalet style bungalow is situated in the peaceful location of Leadengate Close, a prime West Croyde location just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village with its vibrant pubs and restaurants, surf and beach shops. A very short stroll to the golden sandy beach, great for families and a favourite with surfers.

Set in its own enclosed lawned garden, this cream coloured double glazed chalet has off-road parking for two cars and provides an ideal base for anyone wanting to take advantage of the golden sands of blue flag accredited Croyde beach. Other beaches are only a short scenic drive away.

Entry to KINGFISHER is through the double glazed front door that is located at the side of the chalet. The light and welcoming cream painted entrance hall has functional wood-effect laminate flooring that continues into the main living area and kitchen. There is plenty of hanging space for coats. Passing through a semi-glazed door, you enter the double aspect, open plan, living/kitchen area and are immediately greeted by a large beige leather corner sofa that invites relaxation on soft and sumptuous cushions. Light floods into this room via the double glazed doors that provide access to the patio area at the front. Pale blue curtains on metal window poles harmonise well with the floor and cream walls to create a tranquil, light and cosy space.

A flat screen TV, Sky Basic Package (full package can be ordered as an add to basket item), VHS and DVD players have been provided for guests entertainment.

The kitchen area boasts a solid wood work surface set atop white painted 'tongue and groove' style kitchen units, the overall feel of the room is enhanced by the use of pastel wall tiles in shades of terracotta and peach as well as halogen lights. In addition,

there is a circular stainless steel sink with polished chrome mixer tap. The wall units hold an ample supply of glassware, crockery and cooking utensils. Appliances include a tall larder fridge/freezer, single oven/grill set below a built in 4 ring ceramic hob, stainless steel extractor hood, microwave oven, 2-slice toaster, kettle, fully integrated dishwasher and a washer/drier. A folding gate-leg table and four chairs (that can be folded and stowed away when not required) provides dining space.

There are 3 bedrooms all enjoying views out to the rear of the chalet.

Bedroom 1; is double aspect and the larger of the two double rooms, it is accessed directly from the lounge. The double bed is shouldered by bedside tables that each support a table lamp. There is a wardrobe that provides hanging and drawer space

Bedroom 2; the second double is reached from the entrance hall and contains a black metal framed bed, bedside tables, a large wall mounted dressing mirror and a wardrobe that provides hanging space.

Bedroom 3; perfect for the children, contains bunk beds plus a mattress under, 5 drawer chest of drawers, a wardrobe plus a bedside table with lamp.

The family bathroom contains a white suite comprising a bath with power shower over, plus a pedestal wash basin with a useful mirror above. A shower curtain prevents unnecessary water splashes on the slate tile effect vinyl floor covering. There are white marble effect tiled walls that are enhanced with a dark pebble dado rail. There is also a polished chrome heated towel rail.

Adjacent to the front door there is a separate WC with hand basin.

The West Country region

North Devon is fast becoming one of the country's top destinations for holidays at any time of year. There is very good access to the area with a new dual carriageway joining the M5 from Junction27. The area is renowned as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, with Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks to explore, some of the finest golden sandy beaches many with blue flags.

There are superb walks, especially along the coastline - much of which is owned by the National Trust. There are castles and grand houses to visit, there are country towns and pastel coloured fishing villages to discover. There is plenty to do at any time of year. And don't forget of course the obligatory Devon cream teas or freshly made pasties.

WALK TO – Croyde, a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. With Rock pools in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic 'chocolate-box' village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.

CYCLE TO - A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail or South West coast path tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.

DRIVE TO – explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.

"Great little holiday home so close to the beach and the village."

Great holiday home with modern decor and all mod cons.
Good off road parking behind a gate and a secure garden for the dog.
Great location as so near to the beach and the village so no need to drive unless you're going out of Croyde.
Only one downfall, it would be very cramped in the kitchen/living area if 6 people were staying as only one sofa (L shaped) and 4 chairs with the dining collapsable table which takes up space when in use.
Generally though a lovely little holiday home with everything you need.

Choice Cottages are very happy you enjoyed your stay at KINGFISHER (Croyde) and will pass your comments to the owner. We hope to see you soon for your next Holiday in North Devon.
