North Devon is fast becoming one of the country's top destinations for holidays at any time of year. There is very good access to the area with a new dual carriageway joining the M5 from Junction27. The area is renowned as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, with Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks to explore, and some of the finest golden sandy beaches, many with blue flags.
There are superb walks, especially along the coastline - much of which is owned by the National Trust. There are castles and grand houses to visit, and country towns and pastel coloured fishing villages to discover. There is plenty to do at any time of year. And don't forget of course the obligatory Devon cream teas or freshly made pasties.
