CROYDE STABLES - Recently refurbished!....
STABLES | Croyde is located on the quieter side of Croyde beach with stunning panoramic views of the whole bay, beach, Baggy Point, Lundy Island and beyond. It is just 3 minutes walk to the beach.
The house is brightly decorated in neutral colours and has wooden floors and panelling, a modern “New England” style kitchen/dining room and a large, comfortable sitting room with French doors looking out to the beach. There are four bedrooms (two double and two twin) and two modern, well fitted shower rooms. There is a garden and an outside deck area, suitable for barbecues or watching the sunset!
The house is well set back from the road. It is a short walk from the main village of Croyde, where there are several pubs and restaurants as well as surfing schools, shops, an ice cream shop, post office and general grocery store.

LIVING AREAS - DOWNSTAIRS
Access to the house is from the back, straight into the large kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is modern with plenty of storage space, two oven/grills, a microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
A good supply of crockery, cutlery and kitchenware is provided along with some picnic ware and barbecue tools.
A large, round table is in front of the picture window overlooking the beach.
The sitting room has French doors opening onto a small terrace for enjoying views to Baggy Point. There is a large screen (with surround sound) for watching TV/DVD’s and a sound system for listening to music. The fireplace houses a modern log burner.
There is a small hall downstairs with boiler cupboard (with drying rack) and a utility cupboard with vacuum cleaner, mop and other cleaning utensils.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
Downstairs there is the first of 4 bedrooms and a shower room. This bedroom is twin bedded with a window to the side of the house and garden, two matching beds, a bedside table and “ladies wardrobe” (with drawer underneath).
Upstairs there are 3 further bedrooms and a shower room as well as a small hanging cupboard with additional linens.
The main bedroom boasts a king-size bed (you can lie here and look at the wonderful beach view!). There are also bedside tables, a small wardrobe and chairs.
The second bedroom also has a king-size bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers and a view of the beach. A second window looks out to the side of the house towards Hartland Point.
The third bedroom upstairs has twin beds, a bedside table and a chest of drawers.
The upstairs bathroom has a large corner shower, modern suite of WC and basin with storage space and a heated towel rail.
The property is supplied with all bedlinen, hand towels in the bathrooms and cloths in the kitchen. Bath towels are supplied for a fee. Visitors should bring their own beach towels.

OUTDOORS
The property has a lovely, landscaped garden, shared with the owner’s holiday home next door. There is a private deck with wooden seating and tables and a brick-built barbecue (you may need to provide your own charcoal). To the rear of the property is a small shady area with a wooden table and hanging space for wetsuits. A small outside cupboard houses the spin dryer, deck chairs and can be used for storage of surf gear. There is an outdoor tap for rinsing off wetsuits/feet before going into the house. Please note that the garden is sloping!

The coastline is as rugged as it is beautiful dotted with magnificent cliffs, tiny cove and picturesque harbours. It was once the haunt of smugglers, pirates and wreckers and the fascinating history is retold in many small museums along the coast. Today visitors who love Henry Williamson's famous Tarka the Otter can retrace Tarka's journey by following the Tarka Trail.
Along the coastline surrounding a natural harbour is Ilfracombe with its Victorian architecture, Esplanade and famous Tunnels Beach. The harbour is always busy with fishing boats sailing in and out together with the paddle steamer Balmoral which offers day trips to Lundy Island. The Croyde area
WALK TO – Croyde is a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. With Rock pools are in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic 'chocolate-box' village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.
CYCLE TO - A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.
DRIVE TO – explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.

The whole booking procedure was very straightforward and any queries were promptly answered.The location of the property was all you could ask for with breathtaking views over Croyde Bay.The property was very well equipped and to a high spec with more than enough crockery,cutlery and glasses for our party. The good weather that we had did help and we enjoyed BBQ's on the sundeck in the evenings.A short stroll into Croyde found The Thatch pub where we enjoyed an evening meal and pub lunches washed down with the excellent cider.The ice cream parlour is also recommended for their ice cream and clotted cream cornets! The whole family enjoyed their stay and everyone was reluctant to leave.
