LIVING AREAS
Entrance to NUTHURST is gained through a useful double glazed entrance porch, perfect for storing outdoor clothing and footwear. As you pass through the front door the combination of natural wood floors and cream walls in the hallway imparts a feeling of tranquility and relaxation. Enjoying the same colour theme, the main social space is an open plan lounge/dining room, well furnished and equipped, halogen down lights enhance the mood. The sumptuous chocolate brown 3 and 4 seat sofas just tempt you to unwind. The double aspect room flows seamlessly from comfortable lounge and practical dining area, (the rectangular table will easily accommodate 8 diners), to a functional kitchen. The lounge area boasts a feature, log effect, electric fire framed by an natural wood surround, set above this is a wall mounted flat screen TV. Sky free view, a DVD/CD/Video player, portable CD stereo, iPod dock along with a generous selection of discs complete the audio/visual entertainment line up. A comprehensive information file has been compiled for guests convenience. A tall bookcase is well stocked with books, jigsaw puzzles and family games providing a more traditional type of pastime. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and, through double glazed french doors, provides access to the rear garden. As well as comfortable high backed chocolate brown faux leather chairs surrounding the dining table, there is a wooden high chair.
KITCHEN
The slate grey floor tiles and light maple kitchen units are enhanced by brushed stainless steel handles and halogen spot lights creating a modern feel to this light double aspect room. Appliances include a kettle, coffee cafetiere, 4 slice toaster, small fridge freezer, microwave oven, ceramic hob and double oven set into a tall housing unit. There is also a washing machine and dishwasher set under the stone effect laminate work surface. The cupboards are filled with a very comprehensive selection of coordinating two-toned “Tranquility design”; stoneware crockery and glassware as well as children's multi-coloured plates and beakers. A conveniently located door leads out to the front garden.
BEDROOMS
There are 3 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1; on the left hand side of the hallway, contains a triple bunk bed (double below with single above) and an additional child sized bed and is an ideal childeren's room. A louvered door wardrobe provides hanging space and also houses plenty of jigsaw puzzles and toys, in addition, a 5 drawer chest gives additional storage. A shared bedside table is home two bedside lamps and plenty of books, perfect for those bed time stories. A vertical blind and thick curtains at the window help to exclude light even on the brightest of evenings.
Bedroom 2; a double room, enjoys a view of the rear garden lawn, through large double glazed patio doors. The good sized wooden framed bed is shouldered on both sides by a 3 drawer bedside table which, in turn, supports a lamp. The wallpapered feature wall tones well with the cream furniture, bed linen and light sand wall paint, to create a room that is harmonious. A wardrobe and 5 drawer chest ensure storage needs are catered for.
Bedroom 3; is the second double and has a low level bed. Also with views of the rear garden, this room has plenty of storage, there are two honey pine bedside tables, a tall wardrobe plus a full width 4 drawer chest.
BATHROOM
The family bathroom contains a white bathroom suite, comprising a bath and power shower over, low level WC, pedestal wash basin with good sized mirror above as well as a mirror fronted bathroom cabinet to the side. A white heated towel rail, wood effect laminate flooring, wall tiles in natural shades, cream painted wall and a tongue and groove bath panel all work to give the room a relaxing feel.
Separate WC; this is located opposite bedroom 3 and contains a low level WC and hand basin with a polished chrome mixer tap.
Further details outdoors:
There is an outside tap, plus a useful hook for hanging wetsuits. A small secluded decked area at the front with a small circular table and two chairs provides an intimate suntrap. In the rear garden there is a further seating area, carpeted with wood-chip, plus a garden table and chairs. For guests enjoyment several items have been thoughtfully provided, including a charcoal barbeque, body boards, beach windbreaks and a sun lounger.

North Devon is fast becomming one of the countrys' top destinations for holidays at any time of year. There is very good access to the area with a new dual carriageway joining the M5 from Junction27. The area is renowned as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, with Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks to explore, some of the finest golden sandy beaches many with blue flags. An ideal place to bring families down on holidays - safe and picturesque with so many activities available. There are superb walks, expecially along the coastline - much of which is owned by the National Trust. There are castles and grand houses to visit, there are country towns and pastel coloured fishing villages to discover. There is plenty to do at any time of year. And dont forget of course the obligitary devon cream teas or freshly made pasties.
The Croyde area
WALK TO – Croyde, a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. With Rock pools in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic 'chocolate-box' village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.
CYCLE TO - A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail or South West coast path tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.
DRIVE TO – explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.
