Croyde is one of Devon's most popular surf spots, and just a few miles down the road are the golden sandy beaches of Putsborough, Saunton and Woolacombe. The property is beautifully presented with original wood flooring. JOURNEY'S END has off-street parking for 1 car and your dogs are very welcome. The ideal holiday for families and friends, or perfect for a weekend getaway.

LIVING AREAS
Enter the property into the living room where you are greeted by a large wood burner and pretty floral sofas. There is a lovely cottage feel to the property. The lounge has laminate flooring, a TV, DVD player with DVD selection, and sound system. An initial supply of logs is thoughtfully provided, and more can be acquired at a small fee. The property has central heating.
There is a handy downstairs WC with washbasin and heated towel rail. Internet access is available at a small charge.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is spacious, with a dining area seating 4 people. Appliances include a fridge, separate freezer, oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave, slimline dishwasher, washer/dryer, as well as children’s cutlery and crockery, cafetiere, kettle and toaster.
BEDROOMS
Carpeted stairs lead the way to two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Bedroom 1: Master bedroom containing a double bed. This is a very pretty bedroom with wooden floorboards and cream vintage-style furniture, including bedside tables, reading lamps, wardrobe, full-length mirror and a lovely dressing table. There is a feature fireplace and country views out of the window.
Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom containing 2 single beds. Decorated with a blue theme, this bedroom contains quality wooden furniture including a large chest of drawer and wardrobe, and again has country views.
(On request, a fold-out double bed with blow-up mattress is available to put up in the lounge, allowing the property to sleep 6 people).
BATHROOMS
There is a WC and hand basin on the ground floor.
Upstairs is the family bathroom with WC, sink, heated towel rail and a bath with shower overhead. There is laminate flooring and another feature fireplace in this room.
A baby bath, toilet and potty are thoughtfully provided for those with young children.

There is parking for 1 car next to the cottage, and a small courtyard area at the back to store logs (sorry, not large enough for a BBQ). The beach is a 15 minute walk away.

The North Devon Coast
For spectacular scenery and beautiful beaches whatever the season, there's no better place in England than North Devon coast and in particular Croyde. The beaches are recognised as possibly some of the finest and cleanest in Europe - with two miles of soft golden sand, plenty of rock pools and amazing surf.
The coastline is as rugged as it is beautiful dotted with magnificent cliffs, tiny cove and picturesque harbours. It was once the haunt of smugglers, pirates and wreckers and the fascinating history is retold in many small museums along the coast. Today visitors who love Henry Williamson's famous Tarka the Otter can retrace Tarka's journey by following the Tarka Trail.
CYCLE TO - A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great. Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.
DRIVE TO – explore the beautiful Exmoor National Park. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.
Croyde is ideally located within easy reach of the harbours of Clovelly and Lynmouth which are also perfect places to relax. Meander through the streets of Lynmouth and take a ride on the unique water powered cliff railway to the twin town of Lynton which is perched high on the cliffs. Clovelly is another of the prettiest coastal village where it feels as if time stood still. The only means of transport on these famous cobbled streets are donkeys and sleds.
Along the coastline surrounding a natural harbour is Ilfracombe with its Victorian architecture, Esplanade and famous Tunnels Beach. The harbour is always busy with fishing boats sailing in and out together with the paddle steamer Balmoral which offers day trips to Lundy Island. North Devon has something to offer and appeal to everyone, take time to come and find out for yourselves, we will make you very welcome.
The Croyde area
Croyde is a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. Rock pools are in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic 'chocolate-box' village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.
