Mountain Ash House is the perfect location for blissful break by the sea. Set in the pretty village of Croyde, the house is a short walk to the wide sands of Croyde Bay and minutes from the village centre with its traditional thatched cottages, shops and cafes.

Whatever the weather, you will love the homely feel and five star facilities at Mountain Ash House. On a cold night, the house becomes an idyllic hideaway to escape the weather. Curl up in the cosy living room with its rustic décor and wood-burning stove or take a leisurely soak in the spa bath. In the summer months, the spacious rooms are filled with warmth and sunshine. Cook a meal with family in the large and well-equipped country kitchen or enjoy drinks with friends in the outdoor decking area.

This first-rate professionally designed house caters to every possible want and need. The accommodation features a home cinema system, blu-ray DVD player, satellite tv including movie and kid's channels, Wii console, dishwasher, electric range oven and wall-mounted televisions.

The West Country / Devon region

There are lots of places to visit for some family entertainment in the area. You can step back in time at Watermouth Castle, visit the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park at Combe Martin or have a cracking family day out at The Milky Way Adventure Park.

If it’s something educational you’re after then why not watch the intriguing process of honey production at Quine Honey Farm, have fun whilst gaining an insight into farm life at The Big Sheep or visit one of the regions nature reserves.

For visiting golfers, Saunton Golf Club was established over 100 years ago and has two magnificent 18-hole championship courses, surrounded by sand hills and are home to over 300 varieties of wild flower. The area is also home to Portmore, Highbullen and Holsworthy golf clubs.

The Croyde area

Within easy reach of Mountain Ash are four of North Devon’s best beaches in Saunton, Croyde Bay, Putsborough and Woolacombe. These offer a variety of picturesque settings for families and surfers to enjoy the perfect beach holiday or a couple to enjoy a romantic out-of-season beach walk.

Croyde and Braunton offer a wide range of great places to eat out, whether you’re after a café, restaurant or just a fantastic pub!

Should you need a break from the beach, within easy reach of Mountain Ash there is a countryside centre, a paint-a-pot studio, a riding stable and a tropical adventure pool. For the more active visitor there are plenty of places to hire bikes along the famous Tarka Trail, a multitude of local surf schools or if you fancy something different, you could try your hand at sea kayaking.

Walkers can experience the spectacular views at Baggy Point, the famed animal and plant life at Braunton Burrows or simply enjoy the fabulous coastal scenery and wildlife along the South West Coast Path
