Further details indoors:
Ground floor:
The front door takes you directly into a rustic pine Kitchen/ Diner with duel fuel range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, dishwasher, butler sink and an Isymphony stereo (you can plug your IPOD into this!) Large slate centre piece to seat 4. This leads on to the dining room which is a converted barn of large proportion with exposed beams and skylights. A dining table here seats 8-10 people and is perfect for those big dinners on a winter’s night.
Also on this floor is the bathroom with a tiled and heated floor for those frosty mornings plus a twin room with a bunk room adjoining.
Situated on the first floor is the lounge. This is a beautiful cosy room of exposed stone walls, window seats, solid oak floors and a wood burner. Ample seating for everyone around the large TV. This room also has satellite viewing plus a DVD player with full surround. DVDs can be hired from the local village shop.
There is also a play station 2 here with a few games.
Access to the Annex is from this room and also the gardens.
The Annex is a separate room from the main house which holds a double bedroom and a wet room with shower, white WC, hand washbasin, electric chrome towel warmer and heated tiled floor. Ideal for those that want seclusion from the rest of the group!
Second Floor
This floor contains two double rooms one of which is the master with small en suite comprising white WC and hand basin, a large walk in wardrobe and French doors leading out on to one of the many decks.
Further details outdoors:
One of The Forge’s most attractive features is its enclosed decked garden of many levels. It is set out in a series of ‘garden rooms’: a main leisure area which is a large deck for eating out (table, chairs and parasol provided), a central area which can be accessed from French doors off of the main bedroom and is perfect for small barbecues (small barby provided) or sitting with a glass of wine or two: and finally the top deck which is designed to take hammocks (hooks are provided – so don’t forget to bring one if you have one!) where you can take in the sun sets and the countryside views. There is also a swing installed here.
The view from the decks of the beautiful village of Georgeham and the surrounding countryside is one you shouldn’t miss.

The Croyde / Georgeham area
One of the main attractions of the Forge is its location. The nearest beach is the award winning Putsborough Sands approximately one and half miles from the front door. If surfing is your thing you will appreciate the sounds of the waves from Croyde the well known surf spot whilst at the Forge. The village of Georgeham itself surrounds this property.
A few steps up the road takes you to the well stocked village shop, or the village restaurant at ‘The Lower House’ and of course the famous Rock Inn.
The Forge House is a perfect place for families to stay in Georgeham in or out of the summer season. With so many different levels and rooms widely spaced out there is no reason for anyone not to enjoy the time spent there.

Guestbook for The Forge House
Becky - Liked our holiday so much we have decided to move here!
just like to say how much we all enjoyed staying at the Forge this weekend and to thank you very much for making it feel very welcoming with delicious cake and milk in the fridge for a cuppa! It was the perfect location to have a very civilised hen weekend - spending time with friends and having a good laugh, and will definitely
recommend it to others! Great location being so close to the sea!
