The house is a large detached property within it's own gated entrance with a secluded patio garden and first floor sun decking and south facing views. It is arranged over 2 floors with the living accommodation upstairs with beautiful views of the village and surrounding hills.

The property comprises of a larged decked balcony extending from the dining room, overlooking the patio garden below and the scenic views of the surrounding hills, all south facing and far reaching. The balcony has an outdoor sofa set ideal for lounging in the sun and outdoor lighting for relaxing in the evening. The patio garden has outdoor lighting, large outdoor chrome shower, a gas BBQ and large garden table ideal for dining al fresco. The balcony and garden are child and animal friendly, as too is the whole area once the gates have been closed.

Nowadays there has been a great input into the area by the young surfing community and walkers. With three fantastic sandy beaches to choose from - Croyde beach, Saunton Sands and Putsborough. All this has upgraded the area without spoiling the old. Today you can stay and eat in a huge variety of establishments in the area, and take part or keep to yourself in many outdoor activities. Croyde and North Devon has become the place to discover.

"A lovely house in the centre of Croyde. Couldn't ask for anymore."
My friends and I hired the house for a weekend and we were not disappointed.Lovely welcoming touches greeted us to make it feel like home. The house was beautifully clean and the proprietor was very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this house to others and we plan to return. Many thanks.

"Lots of space and great location."
Great house near the centre of the village. Handy for beach and shops. Good parking and plenty of space inside. Outside is a courtyard which is not great for small children. Bedroom 4 is attached to another bedroom- had to get used to sharing with the kids again!

"geat location and lovely accomodation"
We had a fantastic holiday in Croyde, Priory Stables is a lovely property, located in the heart of village.Very clean and spacious with lots of seating areas inside and out. Lovely big rooms with lots of space, but a wardrobe in the double bedroom would have been useful.

"Wonder House, Fantastc Location"
A group of 8 of us stayed at the Priory Stables for a long weekend and found it very easy to find, very comfortable accommodation and one of the most wonderful settings so close to the coast. Croyde village is a delight and we spent a few enjoyable evenings at the Thatch - Live Mic night on a Sunday is a must if you can go!

"Lovely to be back."
This was our third visit to priory stables in the space of a year and as always it was lovely to be back. The house was clean and warm when we arrived in October. The bottle of wine and sweets left for us was a lovely touch. The house is so close to the famous Thatch pub (100 steps) where we enjoyed some lovely meals as well as a few drinks playing board games around the open fire. The hot chocolate there is Devine! We walked to the beach every day - about a 15 minute walk with children! The house has plenty of space for an extended family of 4 adults and 2 children. As we have always visited out of high season we have never used the BBQ or outside area but I'm sure in the summer it would be lovely. The kitchen has everything you need for a weeks holiday , including a washing machine - helpful with young children. However I would have loved a dishwasher. Any chance?? My two boys love visiting this house and sleeping in the bunk beds. Thanks for a lovely week away. We hope to visit again.

"Great place to stay in Croyde"
We stayed at this property for two nights at the end of September but the rainy weather did not dampen our mood as the property was so lovely. We found it well equipped, clean and really nicely decorated. Both the owner and the lady in charge of the property could not have done any more to be super helpful and friendly! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

"Great house, great weekend!"
Lovely house. It is a lot larger inside than it looks on the photos. We could comfortably fit 11 adults plus one child. There was enough seating areas for the group, plus the balcony. Bonus was a free bottle of wine and some sweets on arrival. Thank you.

"Great house, fantastic location"
A large and spacious house which was great for our holiday with extended family. The location of the house is perfect - opposite The Thatch, and a minute's walk from the shops in Croyde. The beach is a lovely 10-15 minute walk away and is accessible with buggies. The only dissappointment was with the standard of cleanliness on arrival. There had obviously been a dog staying with a previous party as there were hairs on the furniture and clumps of hair under the sofa bed, which we put away as we didn't need it. there was also dog poo in the garden area which was quite unpleaseant to find, especially with small children in the party.
We always strive to ensure every holiday for all our guests is as perfect as it can be. It was pleasing to see that both the holiday and the house was an enjoyable one and a favourable review was left. However, there were some issues detailed in the review on arrival. We always appreciate feedback as this can only help us improve the high standards we maintain. On this occasion when we were notified there was a problem on the first day we immediately responded and offered to send the housekeeper back to the property to do a further clean. This offer was declined which lead me to believe the problem was not as significant as originally stated.

"Good place for a group to go for a long weekend"
Visited Priory stables at the end of April for a long weekend and would definitely stay there again. Booking was very quick and the price was very reasonable with no booking fee (compared to other homes in a similar location). The place is clean and had all the basics you will need for a short break. In terms of arranging collecting and dropping off keys was also very easy and the housekeeper was also very flexible with check-in/check-out times (as there was no-one else booked either side of out weekend). The house is very central. However, if you are surfing it is a good 10 minute walk to the beach (so be prepared to carry the boards) . That said it is still closer / same distance as many of the other rental homes in the area. We had 7 adults in our group and we chose to use the sofa bed to allow for extra space. The only disappointment was that the bunk beds are only really suitable for children or small adults (5'3" or under). Although there is the option of two fold out beds instead. The place is not a 5* accommodation, but the furniture is well maintained and there is a patio with BBQ that gets the sun in the afternoon. For a group of friends looking for reasonable priced accommodation, I would say this is perfect. and far better than a lot of hotels for the same price.

"Location, Location, Location!"
I stayed at Priory Stables in September for a week with some friends. Having been to Croyde many times we decided we wanted to stay slap bang in the middle of the village. The house is situated down a quiet road, has a very modern touch and has been furnished to a very high standard. We visited The Thatch pub (just round the corner) on most evenings and walked to the beach (10mins) on the sunny days! The booking process was hassle free and we have already booked for next year!
