Situated in the village of Braunton, NOOK is just a leisurely amble from the local shops, pubs and restaurants, but also within easy reach of North Devon's magnificent coastline and lovely beaches. Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe, all great surf spots, are just minutes away by car. Further along the coast, you will be spoilt for choice; what with historic villages, heritage sights, golf courses, coast paths and the North Devon cliff line, your biggest difficulty will be what to do first! NOOK offers an extremely comfortable and homely base in this very popular village. This pet-friendly 2 bedroom property sleeps 4+, and is perfect for families, children and friends.

LIVING AREAS
There is a spacious lounge and dining room with colour TV, DVD player and CD player, tastefully furnished to a high standard throughout. An electric wood burning effect stove will keep you warm on cooler evenings, while you relax on the two leather upholstered sofas (of which one folds out to become a double sleeper sofa). A dining table seats 6, great for family suppers or entertaining. Internet access is available at a small charge.

KITCHEN
An archway leads to a well equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, as well as all the other essential kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. A useful utility room contains a washing machine and tumble drier.

BEDROOMS
Upstairs there are two bright, attractive bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, reading lamps on bedside cabinets, and a mirror.
Bedroom 2 contains twin beds, a chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, bedside cabinet, reading lamp and a mirror. There is space for a cot in either bedroom.
A sleeper sofa can provide informal sleeping for 2 people.

BATHROOM
The spacious bathroom contains a bath with shower overhead, WC and vanity unit. There is also a useful separate WC downstairs.

Outside there is a fully enclosed, secluded, south facing paved patio garden with a built-in BBQ, great for summer evenings. There is a wooden table and 4 chairs. Fragrant shrubs border the patio, which is also surrounded by trellis. This garden is a real suntrap.

The West Country / Devon region

North Devon is fast becoming one of the country's' top destinations for holidays at any time of year. There is very good access to the area with a new dual carriageway joining the M5 from Junction27. The area is renowned as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, with Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks to explore, some of the finest golden sandy beaches many with blue flags. An ideal place to bring families down on holidays - safe and picturesque with so many activities available.

There are superb walks, especially along the coastline - much of which is owned by the National Trust. There are castles and grand houses to visit, there are country towns and pastel coloured fishing villages to discover. There is plenty to do at any time of year. And don't forget of course the obligatory devon cream teas or freshly made pasties.

The Croyde / Braunton area

WALK TO - Braunton and surrounds is a great place for days out with family and friends. Many local restaurants and pubs offer a superb variety of food and entertainment such as Squires (great fish and chips), At One (Tapas evenings), The George Pub (great local food as well as Thai Cuisine) and The Williams Arms (well renowned Sunday roasts). Entertainment facilities are available for all ages.

CYCLE TO - cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.

DRIVE TO - the beaches of Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe are only a short drive away (note to pet owners: Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe have demarcated pet-friendly areas for your dog). A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great for walkers. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within a short driving distance. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, surfing, horse riding and kayaking are popular sports in the area. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in the beautiful part of England.
