North Devon is wonderful for holidays. There are so many places to visit - beaches, villages, market towns, craft centres, places of natural beauty, walks and a tourist attraction to suit everyone - gardens, museums, houses, theme parks, potteries, collections, a railway, zoo, honey farm, cider making, glass blowing and even a gnome reserve!
Other attractions close by include: Cycling and walking on the Tarka Trail; Fly fishing, coarse fishing and sea angling; Riding stables, with horse riding excursions; Clovelly a picturesque fishing village; Killarney Springs; The Big Sheep and Milky Way Theme Parks; Boat trips.
The Croyde area
Walk to the beach through the picturesque small village of Croyde, into the lane that takes you through the sand dunes onto the centre of the beach. A 10 minute walk.
One of the best restaurants in the area is located over the stream and across the road from the cottage and there are also other restaurants, pubs and shops just a few houses away.
Other local sandy beaches including Saunton, Putsborough and Woolacombe are all within easy reach, also known worldwide on the surfing scene. For breathtaking sea views take the many beautiful coastal walks around the Points at Croyde or visit Polly’s tea rooms set on the cliff above Croyde beach or the Saunton Sands overhead restaurant, both providing alfresco eating and drinking while observing the stunning beach and surf. Saunton's 18 hole championship golf course is a short drive away and the regional centre of Barnstaple is seven miles away, offering a theatre, cinema and high street shops.

We booked a weeks stay at the Inglenook Cottage in September. The cottage was more than we expected it to be. 5 minutes walk from the centre and opposite the best pub in Croyde, this cottage provided ample space with full amenties and a very homely feel. It was kept upto a very good standard and very clean. We would definitely book here again. |
Guestbook for Inglenook Cottage
“We had a lovely stay with the extended family Easter 3 years ago. We liked the village and the pub opposite !!”
Ms J Cornall – Apr 2007
“We stayed in Inglenook cottage in May 2009 and had a wonderful time. The local pubs provided some good food and drinks which we enjoyed in various beer gardens. There are plenty of paces to visit and the
wonderful beaches. We bought our dog along with us and enjoyed long
walks along Saunton Sands beach, which is one of the best dog walking beaches in the country in my opinion. The cottage was well furnished and in a central position for the facilities which can be enjoyed in Croyde.”
Ms E Smith - May 2009
“Thanks for letting us use your lovely cottage.”
Mr P Williams – May 2009

I'd have no problems recommending your cottage to friends or family. I'd also like to add that the kitchen was fantastically clean! Cleaner than most hotels I've been in, so whoever you hire - keep them they are brilliant!”
