Home description
Our traditional Italian home with stunning panoramic sea views is located in the most beautiful village of Crucoli in southern Italy, just 7 km from the beach. The village is very historical with is own castle and museum as well as a beautiful church. This is a truly unspoilt village with no tourists, I am the only English girl to stay in this town. There are 2 bars , one restaurant/pizzeria, a few shops, post office, you can also buy the local home made wine at 4 euros for one litre and the home made pure olive oil at 5 euros a litres. Going down the winding road to the beach there are plenty more shops bars and restaurants. Although we are only 7 km down to the beach you do need a car but this area is also good for serious fell walkers.

The Southern Italy / Calabria region
We are about 4 to 5 hours from the vibrant city of Naples with its fabulous restaurants and lively atmosphere, 2 hours from Lamezia, 45 mins from Crotone and 1 and a half hours from Catanzaro by car. Calabria is a lovely area of Italy with miles of coastline and lovely mountainous inland scenery, and of course fantastic sunny weather for most of the year.
Crotone / Crucoli area
We are 11/2 hours by car to La Sila mountains. There are also plenty of historical places to visit including Crucoli which is famous for its sardella (which is a hot fish paste delicious with oil and bread and a glass of wine). There is a festival every year round about the 17th May and another one in August in the village itself, everybody gets involved.
The beach is beautiful and not crowded. The food is delicious, in Calabria they are very serious about food, to them it's very important and the fresher the better!
