Crotone / Capo Colonna area
Crotone is the ancient city of the Magna Graecia Empire and the historic city of Pythagoras. The fortified castle of Carlo V from the 15th century is located in the heart of the city and can be visited daily.
The city is famous for its beautiful golden sandy beaches and gastronomic delights. The new seafront promenade is considered one of the most beautiful in all of southern Italy. With its warm climate and crystal clear seas, this is wonderful destination for that luxury holiday or short break.

By Plane: Santa Anna airport is only 7kms from the city of Crotone. Lamezia airport is 90km from the property

A deposit of 30% will be taken upon reservation. The balance will be paid 4 weeks before the rental dates. If the reservation is made less than 4 weeks before the rental dates, the amount will be paid in full. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card via PayPal (with a €10 surcharge). A damage deposit of €200 is also requested. and any serious damage caused during your visit will be taken from the deposit. The rest will be returned to you in cash at the end of your stay. Broken crockery, glassware etc can be replaced during your stay, or a small cash contribution can be left on your departure.

Date Submitted: September 10, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008 Last month I was on a honeymoon trip with my wife and our friends in Italy. We stayed at Casa Blu and were really surprised by the hospitality of landlords.
The location of the villa has a lot of advantages: very close to the sea, 10 munites drive to Crotone - little charming city, 15 minutes drive to La Castella - place where you can taste local seafood and visit a beautiful castle. We spent more days travelling around, but the days when we gathered around the swimming pool of the villa were also very pleasant. Do not miss a barbecue party with the owners if you decide to visit fantastic Casa Blu! Recommended for: Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway Mr R Russia.
We travelled to Calabria for a relaxing break and to carry out research as two of our party are keen to purchase their own holiday property in the region. On both counts we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The property itself was elegant, spacious, clean, well furnished and perfectly positioned. The fridge was full of local specialities and wine. The view over the Mediterranean Sea was majestic, and being out of season the sandy beach was deserted. Perfect.
To get the most out of this area you do need a car to explore local towns and the mountains. Stylish Crotone, only a short drive away provided seriously good food, especially if you like fish, and enjoyable evening promenades with the locals.
Above all else the service you will receive from the owner’s agent David is unrivalled and made our stay so much more rewarding. He will ensure you get to see and enjoy the Real Calabria, the places the locals go, the food they eat and the wine they drink. Whatever you want it can be arranged without fuss or drama. In our case David was an enormous help way beyond expectation assisting with the property search. Nothing was too much trouble.
All in all we had a tremendous time staying at Casa blu and it's such a struggle to find any fault I’ll give up. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore this fascinating region of Italy
