About the home

This is a truly special holiday apartment in Cromer the gem of the North Norfolk coast and the town that boasts more sunshine than anywhere else in the UK. It is one of Four Luxury Apartments available at Tudor Villas, reviewed and well known as Cromer's Finest Holiday Apartments and located in the best Road in Cromer, where each Apartment has been individually decorated and furnished by an Interior designer.

Built for an Indian Prince in 1901 this Historic Edwardian Residence was once frequented by King Edward VII, testament to this can be seen in the stunning communal entrance hall where the Royal Crest is depicted in stained glass. Located in the heart of Cromer's conservation area on Cliff Avenue arguably the best road in Cromer this holiday apartment is in an excellent location peacefully located yet within a few minutes walk of the town centre and beach. The inclusive on site parking is also a huge plus for our guests.

This is a second floor Apartment with Sea Views. The accommodation is spacious, stylish and modern with quality fittings such as the 'touch control' hob and LCD and Satellite TV not to mention the granite work surfaces and double ended bath. The delights of Cromer are all a few minutes walk away so enjoy a latte or a cream tea at the beach cafe and watch the fishing boats set sail for Cromer crabs. On foot take in the art galleries, life boat museum and the magnificent church, enjoy the many coastal walks or use the car to explore the delightful surrounding areas. Ideally located for golfing fanatics with the Royal Cromer Golf course nearby.

Ideally situated with just a short walk to the blue flag sandy beach and town Tudor Villas is a perfect location for a short break or family holiday.

The East Anglia / Norfolk region

Norfolk, and in particular North Norfolk, is one of the UK's top tourist destinations. It boasts fine sandy beaches, beautuful countryside and is a haven for wildlife with the area being particularly famous for seeing rare birds. The Queens Sandringham residence is nearby and it is said that she can often be seen walking her beloved corgis on Holkhams fantastic sandy beach.

The regional capital city of Norwich is easily accessible where it's shops and castle can be explored. A boat trip on the Norfolk broads or a boat ride to see the seals are equally enjoyable. Wells, Cley and Blakeney are also fabulous places to visit with Holt being a shoppers paradise.

The Cromer area

Cromer is a lovely Victorian seaside town with a long and unique history. It has recently featured (August 2012) in the top 10 costal resorts of the UK in the Guardian with a special mention for Tudor Villas Apartments to our delight and has previously been featured in many publications including The Times and Daily Express. Praised for it's 'blue flag' sandy beaches, proudly boasting a thriving pier end theatre and renound for it's speciality crabs the town is well established as the 'Gem of the North Norfolk Coast'. A Surf School has now been established for those wishing to ride the waves!

Cromer is Postcard pretty with cliff-top gardens, spendid golf course ,a boating lake, promenades, pristine sand and deliciously sweet crabs to catch and eat.

You can enjoy a traditional seaside break with a stroll down the pier, a walk on the beach followed by the modern twist of a latte in the new modern glass fronted cafe on the beach. Looking for . New local attractions for 2008 include the Cromer Zoo where visitors can see the towns latest residents including pumas, snakes, piranha fish and flamingos.

Golf and tennis are both catered for in Cromer with the Royal Cromer Golf Club and the Cromer Tennis facilities.

Cromer has a Carnival each year which has events starting from early August, the carnival is very popular and is usually opened by the Red Arrows display team. Carnival week is arranged around the the 3rd Wednesday of August each year.

New Year's Day also sees a spectacular firework display over the sea.

The first two weeks of August are children's weeks where a host of activities and events are organised by the town. Full details about the Carnival can be found on the Cromer Carnival website.

In the centre of the town is a majestic church with a very high tower which is possible to climb at certain times of the day the view is fantastic. Next to the church is the Cromer museum where the history of Cromer can be viewed including a reference to Tudor House, now known as Tudor Villas, famous for it's first owners Royal links.

The small streets provide delightful local shops specialising in fresh sea food, fine fish and chips, art galleries and many individual gift shops. The high street has a good variety of shops and a supermarket is close by ensuring that everything for your stay can be found within easy reach.

Cromer's famous pier still houses a theatre providing all year round entertainment, it's an experience not to be missed. After an evening performance you will see the cliffs lit up by the towns twinkling lights as you walk back ensuring your evening is memorable.

At Christmas a 20 minute drive takes you to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, the ultimate Christmas musical experience is simply one of the most exciting Christmas Spectacular shows ever. It is the most popular Christmas show of all time in England and is a blend of exciting Christmas entertainment, with Christmas songs, carols, dazzling dancers, beautiful costumes, outstanding music and singing from the cast of over one hundred

“Beautiful apartment, beautiful town!” We stayed at number 5 for three nights, and had a wonderful time. From booking the apartment through to the cheerio as we left, Sara has been warm, friendly, welcoming and very efficient. The apartment is huge, and furnished beautifully, and even on a chilly October weekend was warm and comfortable. Very well equipped with everything you need for self catering. Tudor Villas is also very well located for the town, literally a few minutes walk from, well, everything! Cromer itself is a beautiful little town, with lots of walks locally and to surrounding villages, lots of nice places to eat and drink as well! We will be coming back I'm sure and would recommend to friends and family!

“Well equipped, spacious, clean and near to north Norfolk locations” Lovely to arrive at such a comfortable flat on the top floor with a view of the sea from the lounge. Own parking space and also a visitors space. Very near to Cromer amenities and the north Norfolk coastline. Ample tourist literature in the flat to assist with planning days out. Excellent shower and bath. Clean towels including face flannels. Toilet rolls, soap etc. Good kitchen with instructions for the oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine left to refer to. Both Sara and Mark were professional and friendly and gave us excellent service. Our stay could not have been better.

“Beautiful apartment, perfect for the children, could walk to the beach.” Tudor Villas is beautifully appointed and a great location if you have children, you can just park up and walk to the beach, which takes all the stress out of trying to find a car park space in a busy seaside town. We had a lovely time there and hope to go back towards the end of the summer for another relaxing weekend. Clare

“First class - clean spacious and extremely well equipped property.” Lovely position - quiet but within 2 minutes of the sea & town centre. Parking is an asset as the car could be left safely without searching for space. There is a lot to do and see in this lovely part of the country. We had a great few days exploring with the knowledge that we had a very comfortable apartment to return to or use if the weather turned. We will be back ! “Beautiful apartment in a great location, really recommended” This is a beautifully furnished apartment with all the comforts anyone could wish for. The owners have created modern convenience yet retained some Edwardian features, making for a very relaxing stay. The house is an architectural treat in a lovely part of Cromer, within walking distance of the beach and town and with the added benefit of a parking space in the grounds for each apartment. We travelled with friends who stayed in apartment 6 which was equally charming. Sara (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful both with the booking process and on arrival and departure. To be incredibly picky, odd to have a washing machine/dryer but no iron & board - however I'm sure Sara would produce one if requested! We had a really enjoyable break in what surely must be the best rental accommodation in Cromer. Thanks Sara.

“Excellent First Class Accomodation in a fantastic location.” So often when we stay in hotels/self catering accomodation do we have to compromise our home comforts, whether that be on space, cleanliness or facilities. Well I can honestly say that we made NO compromises when staying in Apartment 5 at Tudor Villas. Fitted out with high quality furnishings and equipment - it was just like home from home (but with a sea view!). We would not hesitate in recommending these apartments and Sara is a fantastic host making us very welcome on arrival. We were also blessed with an unexpected heatwave - so all in all our 4 night break was faultless - only fault was we didn't want to come home! Thanks again Sara for everything - hopefully see you again soon.
