Lovely apartment in a large Edwardian detached house located on one of the best roads in Cromer. The house is located opposite Virginia Court Hotel that used to be a house owned by king Edward VII. The house next door was owned by an Indian Maharajah. The luxurious 3 bed property is comfortably furnished and includes an en suite playroom off the bunk bed room. The open plan lounge and kitchen offers versatile living. There is off street parking for one car. Ideal getaway for families and friends.

The main bedroom has a king sized bed with a memory foam matress and space for cot (travel cot available, please bring own linen for travel cot). Bedroom 2 has bunk beds (sleeps 2) and en suite playroom with Xbox 360, art equipment, a laminator for your children's holiday pictures (on top of kitchen wall units) and large selection of board games. The third bedroom has a single bed. Bathroom has bath and shower.

The living area is open plan. A 3D HD TV, with 3D Blu Ray surround sound cinema system, which can play 2D as well as DVDs and CDs. A selection of Blu Ray films, DVD and 3D movies are available, Freesat. An Xbox 360 with selection of games in playroom.

The kitchen/diner is fully equiped with modern fittings include double electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle.

Small utility room housing washing machine, vacuum cleaner, high chair, ironing board, travel cot, iron and hair dryer.

Linen and towels provided but please advise of numbers. Towels to be kept within apartment please.

The region boasts exceptional nature reserves for any budding bird watchers and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast Path is great for cycling (with local bicycle hire available), and walking to take in the beauty of the coastline. There are also horse riding facilities that provide horse trekking excursions as an alternative way of seeing the North Norfolk countryside.

The regional capital city of Norwich is easily accessible where it's shops and castle can be explored. A boat trip on the Norfolk broads or a boat ride to see the seals are equally enjoyable. Wells, Cley and Blakeney are also fabulous places to visit with Holt being a shoppers paradise.



Cromer, the gem of the North Norfolk coast, boasts more sunshine than anywhere else in the UK and was recently featured in the top 10 coastal resorts of the UK in the Guardian (August 2012). Praised for it's 'Blue Flag' sandy beaches, proudly boasting a thriving pier and renowned for it's speciality crabs. Cromer beach is one of the 55 beaches awarded a "Blue Flag" in 2013.

The small streets provide delightful local shops specialising in fresh sea food, fine fish and chips, art galleries and many independent gift shops. There are also supermarkets close by, ensuring that everything for your stay can be found within easy reach as well as a multiscreen cinema.

In the centre of the town is a truly majestic medieval church with the highest steeple in the county, which can be accessed at certain times for the fantastic panoramic views. Housed in a Victorian fisherman's cottage nearby, Cromer Museum is a journey back in time to discover what life was like in the town in the late 1800s.

Cromer's famous Victorian pier still houses one of the few remaining traditional theatres, providing all year round entertainment and a working lifeboat station. The RNLI Henry Blogg Museum is dedicated to an incredible lifeboat man, Henry Blogg, who served for over 50 years and was awarded the George Cross for his heroic work.

Golf and tennis are both catered for with the nearby Royal Cromer Golf Club and the Cromer Tennis facilities. A Surf School has now been established for those wishing to ride the waves. Amazona zoo is on the perimeters of town.

Cromer has its own Carnival which has daily events starting from early August. The first fortnight events are based on children's activities then the final week usually include a display by The Red Arrows and culminates with one of the biggest fancy dress celebrations.

The North Norfolk Railway runs from Sheringham to Holt. It offers far more than just a train ride, experiencing yesterday tomorrow with a day out travelling through some of Norfolk's stunning coastal countryside. The railway operates both steam and diesel trains.

Nearby National Trust Parks include Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall, Stiffkey, Blakeney/Morston Reserve.

"Beautiful apartment - didn't want to come home!"

Wow - what a fantastic apartment. Beautifully presented and very spacious. Delighted to find a welcome pack on our arrival consisting of milk, sparkling water and a lovely bottle of wine. Tea, coffee and sugar was provided which was brilliant as I had forgotten ours!

The highlight for our children was the discovery of the "hidden" playroom complete with XBox. Happy children!

The apartment is in an ideal location and you can walk into town quite easily.

We love Cromer and will definitely be using Leylands again. Home from home!

"Great Location and beautiful accomodation"

My wife and I along with our twin girls (6) travelled to Cromer for a weekend away and what a great time we had. The accommodation was very modern with everything you would want (even a secret play area for the kids with xbox and games) and was extremely clean and tidy. Maysie and Matt were very welcoming and everything was perfect. The accommodation has a great location right next to the beach (90 sec walk) and the same into town. We visited the IRNL museum, pier and the RNLI boat station which was very educational for us all and plenty of ice creams.... Only 20 mins away visited Horsey beach and watched Seal's swimming around the shore with a couple playing in the surf just yards from us.. ...really quite wonderful. I would recommend this flat and location to everyone as we had such a great time ...

"Bright & Airy Top Floor Flat"

We stayed as a group of five adults for a weekend. There is one large and one small sofa in the sitting area with a dining table pushed up against the wall. There isn't much work surface in the kitchen but it is well equipped with plenty of pans, utensils and crockery.
The bedrooms worked well for our group with a large double, a small twin with bunkbeds (and the playroom off of this room) and a small single.
The flat is close to the centre of Cromer and has the benefit of not being in a noisy area. There are a few flights of stairs to climb to the top floor flat so it is not for those with any difficulty with stairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come again.

"Fantastic flat in a great location."

We had a great stay at this flat. It was well equipped and it was good to have a dishwasher and washing machine. It was light, airy and modern. It was in a perfect location for the beach and the shops. The flat is on the second floor and although this posed no problems for us, it may prove a difficulty for some. We would definitely stay again and would confidently recommend it to others.
The owners, Matt and Maisie were lovely to deal with.

"Perfect location , excellent facilities and wonderful hosts :-)"

We all really enjoyed our stay at Leylands right from the minute we were greeted by Matt and Maysie to when we had to sadly make our way back home . The welcome pack was a great touch , and the kids' games room is perfect . The flat has every home comfort you could wish for and is so stylish with seaside touches , even down to Maysie's beautiful hand knitted tea cosy and cushions! I was amazed at how close the flat is to the beach, just a short stroll through the park and you are right on the seafront.... Perfect ! We will definitely be returning before the end of this summer and will recommending it to our friends for sure :-)
