The East Anglia region
North Norfolk is a special place and a wonderful place to explore on holiday. So many visitors who come here, fall in love with the coast and countryside, the friendliness and the pace of life that they, like me, return here to live. We have sandy beaches, unique salt marshes, waterways, rolling countryside with panoramic views.
Coach Cottage and Southrepps is perfectly situated to take advantage of all the attractions to the West and those, lesser known, to the East, The delightful villages, magnificent churches and seaside offer a wealth of attractions, events and activities - somethig for everyone.
Southrepps, being in the east of the UK is sheltered from the Atlantic and has one of the lowest rainfalls in the country. Being a few km / 3 miles inland from the East Anglian coast, it is also sheltered from the colder north and east winds. Only 4 miles from the coastal village of Mundesley or 5 miles from the town of Cromer with its Victorian Pier, Coach Cottage offers easy access to the many sandy beaches.
Walking around Southrepps, one can see the rural heritage. The countryside has a mix of small woods and hedgerows, Outside the house is a rookery and the sound and sight of birds is part of the joy of North Norfolk. In the nearby Southrepps Common, a site of scientific interest and nature reserve, there is a large variety of nesting birds such as Reed Warblers, Reed Bunting, and Sedge Warbler. The woodland areas are habitat of such birds as Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Barn Owl and Tawny Owl.
The past wealth of the village of Southrepps is evident in the size and majesty of St James Church that dominants the sky and is visible from the Lounge and garden. In August, Southrepps hosts its celebrated music festival and there are many other concerts at other times of the year in the church or other local churches, such as Trunch & Mundesley.
Life in the Southrepps and the nearby villages is colourful. Throughout the year there are markets, festivals and events to enjoy. The Vernon Arms pub hosts real ale events. The nearby towns of Cromer, North Walsham and Sheringham have theatres and cinemas. The Norfolk Broads offer fun on the water, hiring a day boat taking a picnic hamper is a popular activity. Whilst the magnificent city of Norwich (22 miles away) with its two cathedrals offers everything one can ask for, all in a very compact space.

"Exactly what we wanted. Ideal for our requirements."
We are a family group of 5 adults, two couples and a single. The accommodation of 3 bedrooms with bathrooms was ideal. One of our party has mobility difficulties so everything on one floor suited. The property is relatively new and great thought has been given to the facilities included. We were especially impressed with the quality of the beds which is a detail that is often scrimped upon.
Parking was convenient. The owner was helpful suggesting options for meals out. The local pub serves great food but is often booked out. They recommended pubs to eat in neighbouring villages. Every place we ate was fabulous. I would have given a 10/10 except, I did miss WiFi. I'm informed WiFi is now provided. Perfect.
Feedback on how to improve Coach Cottage is most helpful. So shortly after your departure wifi was indeed installed which also means that the HD TV now benefits from BBC iPlayer. Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. I hope you will consider staying at Coach Cottage again.

"Home from home"
A great Norfolk welcome to a wonderful cottage, it had everything we needed. It was secure for Ginny our Beagle (and that's no mean feat) and there are some great walks out from the cottage and some excellent beaches nearby. The quality of the accommodation was excellent and the welcome pack was appreciated. Overall the cottage represents excellent value for money in a beautiful part of the world. The extra touches for those less mobile were very thoughtful.
Thank you for your feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and that Coach Cottage met your and Ginny's needs. I hope you will consider Coach Cottage for your next North Norfolk holiday - we'd love to have you back.

"Wonderful accommodation in perfect location!"
Thanks for a lovely (last minute) stay. Kathryn is a great host. The cottage is just wonderful & she has thought of everything. Immaculate, comfortable & well equipped. Brilliant for kids, safe & secure. We had dinner at Vernon Arms – really nice – it all felt home away from home.
The cottage is in a great location for so many places – we love coming to Norfolk & visited Mundesley, Cromer & of course Bewilderwood!
We'd definitely stay again & will recommend it highly to friends & family.
Thank you for choosing Coach Cottage and for taking the time to send feedback. I am delighted your stay was enjoyable; As someone very familiar with North Norfolk and the attractions and accommodation on offer, your review means that much more to me. I look forward to welcoming you and your family to stay again.

"Lovely comfortable cottage with all mod cons"
A modern and most comfortable cottage, extremely well equipped in all respects. We loved the wood burning stove which makes for cosy evenings when the weather is less than perfect.
All extremely clean, comfortable beds, high quality bed linen and fluffy white towels.
The owner takes great care in ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. She is able to advise on places to visit/eat/walk etc and happily takes in feedback about the cottage. Do sample her preserves and pickles, they make great presents too.
We ate in the local pub, the Vernon Arms, which was welcoming and has a menu to cater for all tastes. We also walked from the cottage to the coast (Cromer) which is a lovely walk through villages and along the cliffs. This was a short stay but we'd definitely go back to Coach Cottage. I have previously visited the Old Vicarage gardens at East Ruston but sadly this time we were there just before they opened for the season. Would certainly recommend a visit there.
Thank you for your review of Coach Cottage. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Southrepps and North Norfolk has much to offer. I hope that if your ever think of returning to North Norfolk you will consider returning to Coach Cottage.
