THINGS TO DO.

Rambling and hill walking amid beautiful mountains, forests and lochs, from gentle strolls along the River Earn to more strenuous outings on hill or mountain - Munros and Corbetts abound for the enthusiast!

The annual Crieff Drovers Tryst festival in October offers a great choice of organised walks and throughout the summer months, traditional Highland Games events are staged most weekends around the area.

Other activities readily available include horse riding, swimming, tennis, cycling and water sports on Loch Earn.

Perthshire is rich in wildlife, including osprey, capercaillie, deer, red squirrels and many more fascinating birds and animals

Fishing for trout, salmon or grayling on Strathearn's rivers and lochs

Music and theatre - choose from Perth's new Concert Hall or The MacRobert Centre in Stirling, both half an hour away, or Pitlochy's Festival Theatre

Crieff

Enjoy a round of golf on either of Crieff's two 18 hole courses, on one of the many other charming and inexpensive courses in the area, or the world-renowned Gleneagles just 20 minutes drive away!

In Perthshire there are many Castles and beautiful gardens open to the public.

Drummond Castle and its italianate gardens are nearby, and Stirling Castle and The Wallace Monument are a 30 minute drive away.

The 'Famous Grouse Experience' whisky tour at Glenturret Distillery in Crieff offers an excellent whisky distillery visit - interesting, fun and a dram for those who want to taste the Water of Life.

Crieff Highland Games takes place every August, search Google or Youtube for details.
