But why stop there? Crieff Hydro is an excellent basecamp for hillwalking, game fishing or a host of family activities. Why not combine your trip with a safari adventure? Blair Drummond Safari Park is just 30 minutes away.
The Tayside/Perthshire region
Situated in the very heart of Scotland, Perthshire represents the perfect place to find all that you expect of a great Scottish holiday.
Most of Perthshire is little more than one hour by road or rail from Glasgow or Edinburgh, but a world apart.
Crieff is actually the main town of Strathearn lying on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. It has been a beautiful holiday resort since Victorian times and is the second largest town in Perthshire with a population of almost 6000.
The town spills from the Knock, the wooded hill above, down to the River Earn. James Square with it's fountain marks the centre of the town.
