Bothy Cottage is a 500 year old stone built cottage on the Talhenbont Hall Country Estate near to Criccieth in North Wales. With one double bedroom and one family room as well as a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep five people. The cottage also contains a well equipped kitchen/diner and a sitting room with an electric log effect fire. Outside the cottage is a private garden area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ as well as plenty of off road parking. There are also fishing, tennis and woodland walks included with this cottage. With a number of other cottages on site making it ideal for large groups of over thirty people, Bothy Cottage is a wonderful holiday home for anyone wishing to explore the delights of North Wales.

The North Wales / Snowdonia/Gwynedd region
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. Snowdonia National Park, situated in North Wales, boasts breathtaking mountain scenery, crystal clear lakes and cascading waterfalls. Climb Snowdon, which at 1085m is Wales’ highest mountain, or travel to the summit in style on the charming Mountain Railway. Alternatively, why not sample the beautiful green valley of Llangollen by steam train or from a leisurely horse-drawn canal boat.
In July, the annual Llangollen Eisteddfod transforms the town into a unique centre of international music and dance, attracting musicians and singers from across the globe.You could also explore the beautiful coastline, safe sandy beaches and watersports of the Lleyn Peninsula, as well as Colwyn Bay, historic Conwy, Victorian Llandudno or the Isle of Anglesey on the north coast. To the south, there’s the lovely Brecon Beacons National Park, a haven of rugged moorland, forests and mountains that’s just perfect for nature lovers and walkers.
Finally, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is renowned for its wildlife, stunning coastal scenery, superb beaches and as the home of Britain’s smallest city, the City of St David’s.
The Criccieth / Talhenbont area
In the beautiful unspoiled countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula lies the 100-acre estate of Talhenbont, full of immaculate cottages that have been thoughtfully renovated in order to provide one of the finest self catering retreats in Wales. The estate itself offers the use of an all weather tennis court, outdoor chess, numerous pet animals - which welcome being fed and petted – and "The Quackery", which houses a great variety of birds. There are many local attractions within just a few minutes drive of the estate such as castles, beaches, golf courses and the Snowdonia National Park. The one and a half mile stretch of river, which runs over a series of waterfalls in a ravine, offers excellent walks as well as safe areas for children to play or paddle. This small stretch of water has been designated as a habitat for otters and offers salmon and sea trout fishing.

,Peaceful, entertaining location. Ready access by car to larger towns and areas of interest if you required them. Good tennis court and quackery was entertaining. The gardens and fools forest were lovely and the wandering Peacocks beautiful.

,This was an extremely well appointed cottage, and well situated for anybody who wants to escape the pressures of the city, concealed in woodland hundreds of yards away from even the nearest country lane. We spent many hours just walking through the beautiful woodlands within the grounds or sitting in the tranquil garden reading and listening to birdsong, and when we needed something a bit more strenuous we made use of the tennis court.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
