The cottage is surrounded by 1000 acres of private woodlands - there is even a trout stocked lake where fishing can be organised by prior arrangement. This is paradise for lovers of nature.

The North Wales / Snowdonia / Gwynedd region
North Wales boasts a beautiful coastline, the magnificent Snowdonia which is excellent for climbing expeditions, and the Llyn Peninsula which provides plenty of sailing opportunities.
There are many things to do, from visiting North Wales' historic castles to walking along the coastal paths and seeing the various villages en route.
The wonderful Italianate village of Portmeirion, which was designed by Clough Williams-Ellis (great uncle of the present owner of Tyn Llech) is only a short drive away.
Criccieth area
Tyn Llech is situated on the edge of Snowdonia.The lovely beach at Back Rock is only a couple of minutes drive away, as is the pretty seaside town of Criccieth with it's splendid castle. We guarantee total seclusion - this is the place from where to unwind! The only noise you will hear is birdsong.

Further details indoors: This comfortable house has been carefully planned and offers superb facilities. The Kitchen/Dining room is well equipped with electric double oven and ceramic hob, fridge freezer and microwave at one end and table and chairs at the other. There is a separate utility room with dishwasher and washer/drier.
Two steps take you up into the Sitting Room with it’s limed oak floor, deep comfortable sofas and chairs set around a wood burning stove in the inglenook fireplace. A basket of logs is provided, and further supplies can be purchased through the housekeeper. There is a flat screen 32” TV with Sky Freeview, a DVD Player, Wireless Broadband, CD Player and Radio with iPod dock or MP3 connection. French Windows open onto the pretty secluded garden.
Leading from the sitting room, and on another split level is the Master Bedroom, which is beautifully presented with two singles which can zip together for a king size bed. There is a separate contemporary Shower room with loo, basin and a walk-in shower/wet area, heated towel rail and under floor heating with views across the fields.
Upstairs are two Bedrooms, one twin room and one double room. You will see some of the owner’s framed drawings on the walls. These two rooms share a Bathroom with loo, basin and bath with hand-held shower.
Outside, the garden has views across the fields to the sea. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for al fresco eating.

The rental period at Tyn Llech is Saturday to Saturday. A £150 deposit secures the booking with the balance paid six weeks prior to a visit.

As you predicted, we had a wonderful stay at Tyn Llech. The cottage seems ideal in every respect; from it's location, character, renovation and attention to detail. For the first hour we delighted in discovering all the things the cottage offered, including: * the quiet seclusion * the wonderful views * the most welcome 'Welcome Pack' * the beautiful fireplace * the fire laid in the woodburner requiring only a single match to bring it to life * the stunning master bedroom suite * the collection of detailed local maps Viv was a wonderful housekeeper and could not do enough to make out stay as comfortable as possible.
We wish to say how much we enjoyed and apppreciated Tyn LLech this past week. We could not have been more comfortable and made more welcome. The location was also perfect. We would love to stay again perhaps in the Autumn and will check availability.Viv was marvellous - nothing was too much trouble.
