Set in secluded woodland, Les Grezes offers an idyllic location to spend a relaxing holiday.
Les Grezes, which comprises of two gites and our main house, has the benefit of its own large private grounds: lawned gardens, meadows and woodlands of 10 acres in all. There is a heated swimming pool for use by guests.
The gites are new for 2006 and have been refurbished to the highest standards.
The property is all fully enclosed at the end of its own 500m driveway, offering a feeling of security and safety.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Lot region
The gites are ideally placed to make full advantage of the sunny south of France and its historic landscapes. There are rivers to paddle and swim in, the extraordinary cliff-face town of Rocamadour and the markets of Sarlat and Souilliac. There are literally dozens of things to do en famille, details of which can be provided.
Cressensac area
Cressensac is a lovely little village, with a small supermarket, post office, bakery, hotel, restaurant, pharmacy and cafes.
There are literally hundreds of places you can visit.....
Rocamadour- beautiful historic cliff side town, Sarlat - with loads of shops and cafes, Brive - shopping galore!, loads of towns and villages for you to stumble upon while you are driving around (that's how we seem to find them anyway!)
Walking - beautiful countryside surrounds Les Grezes, you could spend hours walking from here..
Canoeing on the Dordoigne, very easy to sort out from Souillac (and really good fun!) This is a great way to see some stunning scenery that you would otherwise not see.....
Golf - Souillac has a beautiful golf course and country club.
Loads of caves (Grottes) and museums to take the kids to.
If you really want to (we've done it) a trip to the Med is only a couple of hours away.
The Massif Central is close too - Skiing (Winter only) mountain biking, lovely scenery.
How to get there
Fly to Limoges - Cheap flights available from Ryanair.co.uk from Stanstead or East Midlands airport. Car hire available from Hertz or Europcar - we usually book these in advance and pick them up at Limoges airport - really easy and reliable. Cressensac is on the verge of having an airport opened, far enough away from the house to be ok for noise, but close enough for taxis etc (Easyjet and Ryanair are apparently interested in having a service there - so watch this space!)
Driving down is always a good option, about 8hrs from Calais, Euro tunnel offer good deals, as do the Ferries. It's a really simple route down, and the house is about ten miutes drive from the main motorway - couldn't be easier to find after a long drive! Detailed directions are available.

Further details indoors: L'Ecuirie offers 1 double bedroom with an 2 single bunk beds beds in the living room (kids (aged 8+) will love them!) a double sofa bed is also in the living room. It has a 2 level down-stairs living area with a fully equipped kitchen with dining area and lounge, with down-stairs shower room / WC. The entire gite has been fully refurbished to a very high standard.
Further details outdoors: The pool is also new. It's 10 x 5m and is heated, all with sturdy metal railings around it as per recent regulation changes, and is also alarmed.
We have a free pool table for guests to use, and to keep the kids occupied while the adults relax by the pool!
We also have a table tennis table for guests to use, and a newly built children's play area in the trees, with tree houses and swings for them to spend hours playing on!
The land is all fully enclosed so Mum and Dad can be safe in the knowledge that the kids can’t go to far - but far enough! About 10 acres in all should provide enough exploring...

We are non smoking! (hooray) and no pets. If you have any special requirements just ask, we do have travel cots and high chairs.
