Set in 80 acres of beautiful rolling Devon countryside, East Burrow Cottage provides a peaceful retreat and a convenient gateway to Exmoor National Park as well as the plethora of sandy North Devon beaches. Guests are invited to wander the tracks that run through the farm into scenic woodland where you may be lucky to see red deer. The farm is very safe, set away from roads, and children of all ages will undoubtedly enjoy the farm experience by helping to collect eggs, feeding the calves and lambs or riding a pony (subject to season and availability). The cottage, which is a wing of the farmhouse and boasts a lovely garden with countryside views, offers everything you need for a comfortable holiday whatever the season or weather. It has been most tastefully presented and furnished, and will appeal to both couples and families alike. After a day's exploring, the cottage will welcome you home, and what better to relax in front of the log burner and enjoy a farmhouse supper.

Guests are likely to be undecided where to explore first with so many wonderful delights to visit within a short distance from the farm. There are too many visitor attractions to mention but a selection to suit all ages and weathers. The seaside village of Combe Martin is a popular trip as is exploring the independent shops and Pannier markets in nearby South Molton and Barnstaple. For the more active, the South West Coastal path encompassing Lynmouth,Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Croyde is a must as is exploring the atmospheric Exmoor National Park or perhaps jump on a bike to enjoy the Tarka Trail or Grand Western Canal. This cottage will not fail to impress.


Front door opens into spacious dining kitchen. Dining table to comfortably seat four. Door to rear garden. Well equipped modern country style kitchen with electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer and DAB radio. Glazed door into cosy dual aspect lounge furnished with two sofas, an armchair, a wood burning stove, toy box, TV, DVD and ipod dock. Stairs rise from dining kitchen to first floor. Large and beautifully presented bedroom 1 with brass king size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, rocking chair, chimney flue (does not become hot to the touch) and this room also enjoys wonderful views over the garden and countryside beyond as well as plenty of space for the cot. Bedroom 2 with two 3ft single beds and built-in wardrobe. Recently refurbished family bathroom with bath with shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.


Private two tiered rear enclosed garden – a perfect spot to enjoy the evening sun. Grassed area with picnic bench and childrens swing. Barbecue available.

Separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.


Ample parking space in front of the cottage and within the courtyard which is secured by electric gates. Storage available for trailers and bikes.

•Pets: One well behaved and livestock friendly dog welcome.

•Telephone / Internet: Mobile reception fair depending upon network. Owners phone available in emergency. Due to rural location, the Internet signal can be intermittent at times and is available for occasional use i.e. daily email checking or holiday planning but is not suitable for streaming or downloading films.

•Delicious Farmhouse breakfasts and suppers are available at nominal charges and with prior arrangement.

•Stabling is available for guests who wish to bring horses.

•Local Facilities: Village pub 2.5miles. Village shop with post office 2.5miles. Eight pubs within 15minute drive. South Molton with supermarket, Pannier Market and selection of shops 7miles. Dulverton – Exmoor 12miles. North Devon coastal beaches from 26miles.
