About the home

Set in a small village in the corvedale valley in a beautiful conservation area. This is an ideal location for walking also fishing, riding and golf are available locally.

Willow cottage is 400 years old and is adjacent to a 14 century farmhouse and as been modernised for modern day living with a large lounge with log burner, a large dining/kitchen, 2 double bedrooms with additional futon bed. The garden is large, enclosed and private with a lovely patio area. Willow cottage is an ideal romantic get away.

This beautiful character house has a large lounge with two very comfortable sofas and a log burner.
The kitchen/diner is well equipped and has a lovely dining table and chairs.
There are 2 double bedrooms 1 with a Kingsize bed and a double futon and 1 with 2 single beds.
The bathroom has a freestanding bath in character with the cottage.
The cottage is fully central heated making it an ideal all year round destination.
The garden is private and enclosed with a patio, garden furniture and a barbecue.

6 miles away visitors can enjoy Ludlow on the river theme.
it is renowned for its medieval castle and preserved buildings.
over the last few years Ludlow have gained recognition with their festivals, food and drink, medieval and music.
There are many gourmet restaurants, two with Michelin stars

A 5 mile drive away is Craven Arms, the home of the 13th century fortified manor house Stokesay Castle and the Discovery centre.

Also locally is Much Wenlock a pretty little town where the first modern Olympic games were held.
A further distance away is Iron Bridge Gorge where the industrial revolution started with lots of museum's and the world famous iron bridge is located.

Church Stretton is the beautiful area where you can walk the Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd hills where you can go gliding. Close by is the Acton Scott Historic working farm where the series victorian Farm was televised.

The West Midland Safari park is about an hours drive, well worth the visit.

The Craven Arms / Aston Munslow area

The Corvedale valley is surrounded by beautiful countryside.The area is full of walks, ramberling trails and cycle routes, a short drive away is Delbury fishing lakes where you can fly fish for trout also horse riding is available locally.
The village as a shop, petrol filling station and a country pub where you can get good wholesome food.

“Lovely cottage” Stayed at willow cottage with my mum and son. Lovely cottage with excellent facilities and the owners are very hospitable. Beautiful area to stay and cottage is ideally situated for trips out within Shropshire and surrounding locations. Probably not ideal for 6 (there is a double futon couch in the main bedroom) but definitely comfortable for 4.

“Character cottage in a great location” We spent a long weekend at Willow Cottage and it suited us perfectly. Fabulous walking from the doorstep and many local attractions are just a short drive. We had such a warm welcome from Susan, who greeted us with a home baked cake for our anniversary. There are two good sized bedrooms (one double, one twin), a comfy lounge with a log burning stove, and a well-equipped kitchen. Plenty big enough for two couples, as long as you don't mind a shared bathroom. Perfect for 2+2 family holiday. Be aware that bathroom has a great 'character' bath but only a hand-held shower in the bath. Lovely area with much more to see and do than we expected. Willow Cottage makes a great base.

“Perfect Location, Perfect Cottage, Simply Perfect” We stayed he for our Honeymoon in August 2010 and due to us having a small family we chose to celebrate our marriage with our children afterwards when we stayed in this cottage On arrival, after a four hour drive, we were pleased to find , what form the outside seemed, the perfect location to spend a week in the area, and a s a well travelled family a part of the country we had never visited before. After getting the key from the specially located secret hiding place, we entered to find a congratulations card on the kitchen table with a bottle of bubbly, plus some other little goodies We ventured upstairs, as you do to have a good look round where you would be staying, we came across more delights in the shape of two exceptionally presented bedrooms and a gorgeous bathroom, what a perfect cottage We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed the area, visiting many sites, towns, villages and made more than welcome in the pub a short walk away You cannot describe this place adequately enough in such a short review, you need to visit and stay here yourself to enjoy Willow Cottage and its surroundings, but if pressed for a way of describing it I can only say "simply perfect" Many thanks Susan and we hope to return soon to enjoy it all again
