The Northumberland region

There are numerous castles in the area, including Alnwick Castle, the original Hogwarts. We have miles and miles of sandy beaches, many of them fronted with link golf courses. We are close to the town of Alnwick which has numerous shops and cafes as well as Alnwick Castle Gardens and the famous Barter Books. There are lovely coastal walks and the area is a great place for bird watchers, with the Farne Islands only a short drive and boat ride away. The area has been used in a number of films, Alnwick Castle - Harry Potter, Black Adder, Robinhood Prince of Thieves, Lindisfarne - the Scarlett Pimpernel, Bamburgh beach - Elizabeth the Golden Age.

Craster

The area has the best of all worlds with beaches, hills, forests and historic places and landscape. The Tower is conveniently located an hour by car from Newcastle and it is just an hour by train to Edinburgh. We are also well placed for trips to Hadrian's Wall and the lovely historic centres such as Hexham and Corbridge. There are numerous links golf courses and the area has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Bueaty (AONB). Northumberland is one of Englands largest and least populated counties, it is also one of it's best kept secrets so do come and visit us to show I am not just being biased!
